Hi all, I wonder if someone with a Manx could give me the width of the body across the rear wings (widest point of tub). I need to see what van I need to collect one in! Thanks in advance, cheers Keith

Hi Keith,

Just popped out and measured mine mate and it's 1.6m/63 inches at the widest point!👍

Brought mine back a couple of hundred miles in a luton van. Sits in the back without issue and didn`t move an inch in whole journey. (Note some hire firms have lutons restricted to 62mph).

However, after joining the forum, realised people had successfully brought a tub home on a car roof rack so you have a choice of methods.

Hope Mark gave you a cup of tea.  Wish we all had a spotless build area like he has  ;-)up ;-)up

Just a quick pointer if you are shortening a beetle chassis with front shock absorber towers of the straight up vertical type ... have the beam on the chassis to give you an idea where to place the tub sufficiently forward so that the tower top is more of less in the middle of the bulge in the tub. You will see what I mean with a quick look.  ;-)up ;-)up
