Best thing I did was use an old clutch cable with the end cut off and push it down the fuel line from the gearbox end and a can of compressed air to clear the copper line. Then replaced the rubber fuel lines with R9 hose which is the new standard due to modern fuels ethanol content.
I'm in my buggy,
It's raining,
I really don't care.

Yes for sure make sure you are using the right fuel lines for the new ethanol based fuels. but if you can't use the old copper lines in the tunnel as Shaggy did....

An alternative to running the fuel line through the tunnel is to now route the new copper pipe along the outside of the tunnel in the passenger well. I have my brake line on the driver side and fuel line on the passenger side. Its placed neatly right next to the join of the tunnel to the floor pan so is well out of the way of being knocked. But the advantages are that a, its a lot easier to install and b, if there are any problems with it in the future you can see what happening and fix it.  ;-)up

The line thru the chassis shouldn't be copper, it should be steel. Copper can 'work harden' and become brittle and crack. If you're going to replace it use 6mm Kunifer tubing.
