It's that time of year to start a list.
The plan is to do a repeat of previous year's activities with a chippy run on Friday, the cruise on Saturday leaving at 11am, BBQ and beers in the clubhouse Saturday evening and the Carnival procession on Sunday.

As ever if anyone has any suggestions on the cruise or fancy dress shout them out.

Due to work commitments I will not be able to arrive at the football club until 5pm on the Thursday but feel free to arrive from lunchtime onwards however  you may have to use the toilets in the main car park.

I'll post up more details shortly but due to various reasons this will be the last Swanage that I (don't) organise. It would be a bit of a shame if it were to be the last one ever so I'm looking for a volunteer to take it on.
I'll give you all the assistance you'll need and you don't have to be local.

Anyone fancy it?

THE LIST

A bit of rain on the way down on Thursday but perfect buggy sunshine thereafter.

At least high 40's for the buggy turnout in the parade - we set off earlier and looped around the streets to encompass an old people's home first that extended the ride through happy visitors.

Liz went big on inflatable dinosaurs with twin Tyrannosaurus Rex's.

Keith won the Paddy Award for "probably having helped 90% of the buggy" community... Somewhat of an understatement but true to form he was previously snapped in the early sunshine deftly 'inserting' himself in replacing a failed drake cylinder whilst Allan 'Scaffold Pole' Thompson stood by.

A great weekend so thanks to Flags, Karen, Mark and Sue and all involved weather was 100% spot on with people going red.
Spirit of Paddy award is gratefully received knowing what it means to buggers who knew him.
Carl did the brake cylinder failure but you have to help folks we needed DC mobile.

Those pebbles look good enough to eat...

Yes we need a mobile DC to spread/dilute him amoung his adoring fan base. And I note the Paddy Award already looks colour and buggy model keyed should DC ever reach the required standard.

Thanks guys and girls for a fantastic last Swanage not organised by me, the procession went a little wonky at the end due to a last minute route change and a confused marshal, it was good to see all the floats parked up though and we almost did another lap.
A well deserved Pride of Paddy award to Keith and a special mention to Mark and Sue for the entertainment and I'm sure you all appreciate them volunteering to take over the event and will support them throughout.
I received a couple of unexpected retirement presents which consisted mainly of Spam (you had to be there for the Spam banquet to appreciate it) and a stunning gear knob from Carl for the scirocco that was made by his brother. Cheers mate.
You never know I may even see you there next year.
