Thanks Paul, I'll keep looking, maybe speak to the dealer selling the buggy, as I would have thought theres some comeback on buying from a car dealer (or maybe I'm just naive??)

Cheers

Thanks dave, that's pretty much what I was thinking. The buggy is £9k, actually a bit over budget, so not something I want to risk

I know this is probably my a stupid question, but there's a buggy came up as vw beetle convertible, take it that's still a bad idea as it's not a bug she'll as it's a sidewinder??

Don't mind if it doesnt have wet weather gear ;)

Just wanna get one, drive it and enjoy it, not stress if I see a copper or vosa!!

Feel free if you know anyone selling a buggy

Thanks mate I'm in Stirling, Central Scotland, but I am happy to travel wherever in the UK to get the right buggy!! (or V5!!)

I've had an MG for years, but now need 4 seats and only a SWB will fit in the garage!!!

In my head I think of saloon as a car with a roof, so if pulled over or stopped by one of the dozens of VOSA checkpoints we have up here, I don't want to be buggyless!!

Thanks for all the replies, guys, I feel like I'm at home already!!  :)

All the Best

I've been looking at a few buggies that I like the look of, but I'm very wary as although the V5 has beetle removed, 3 I've seen all say VW saloon.

I was thinking it would say buggy or convertible, I've done a search and can't really find a definitive answer. I can't afford to spend £6k on a buggy that might get taken off the road for an IVA

Just looking for opinions really, would you guys be comfortable if it said VW saloon, or should I keep searching until I find one with a suitable V5??

Thanks for your help
