Hi guys, this is just a little update too help anyone doing the same
I have sent my logbook too DVLA too change the donor beetles details too beach buggy and change the colour.
The process wasnt that painfull! I had too send a few pictures along with receipts of any major parts changed (mainly the body)  i made it very clear in my application that the chassis was completly original and it was a LWB i filled out a "built up vehicle report" and that was that 😉 my new logbook is on its way 👍

Cheers Dave, that is the way im thinking of going at the moment, seems the best option.

Hi there,  can anybody suggest anywhere to get a reasonably priced roll bar from?  Ive seen Flatlands have one and VW heritage have one are they the best place?

Can i ask once it fits well what bolts did you use for fitting? Did you use  beetle ones or just standard short bolts and washers?

Its an FF body and its a LWB not shortened at all, so its just a case of tightening it gradually and allowing it too flex on its own over a period of days then, my main worry is over tightening and cracking it?

Hi guys i have a new body to which i am trying to fit to my newly finished chassis, at the moment its sitting on the top of the napoleons hat at the front but doesnt touch on the sides? Also at the rear corners its not fitting right does anybody have any suggestion to getting it to fit?

I like the sound of the highbacks with runners, ive messaged you with my mobile may be easier to message that way?  I look forward to the pics, im taking the runners off my floor pans too fit new runners too thats right isnt it?

Hi Sawmilljim, something like a cobra classic with headrest, but my budget is running out quick due to big repairs on the chassis do you have any pics? Or idea on any prices?
