Go for new, if it is slightly oily or has weakened springs it is very hard to tell until it is in the buggy, then its too late and not only have you lost your money but you have to take the engine out again

Do you really need a stage II, standard clutches seem pretty robust unless you do traffic light dragging regularly

Forgot to mention it's for my beetle which is getting a subaru engine. So yeah it needs an upgrade.

I dont know the history of it no but will get to look it over before handing over cash. Main problem is I don't really know what I'm looking at when it comes to clutches so that wouldn't provide much. I think I'm swaying towards new atm. Just depends if I can get the extra cash together!

I'm after a stage 2 clutch with a friction disk and I have two options atm

New will be about £170
Used I can get for £100

The used one is described as looks like very little use, still has machining marks but history unknown. Do I risk used? Or go new?

Yeah the welding isn't an issue. You have any pics showing the brackets you have? Does it need to be adjustable at all or just solid?

Sorry yeah. Its one of those set ups. Truss bars/torque bars etc. They do have bolt up ones that don't need welding. I just need some extra strength for the chassis forks for the heavier/more power scooby motor. 200 plus seems a lot though. I'll probably end up with a home made version.

Anyone selling a torque bar? I'm after one for my scooby conversion.

Cheers

Cheers for the pics.

I definitely want the bucket seats, just need a way to get them from you to just south of newcastle. I'm putting a request in the humpers/dumpers section. Reckon any couriers would move them for a reasonable price? Where exactly are you?

Can you send me some pics of the seats please? What runners are they for?

What condition is the ball joint beam? Rhd?

?

Can you not just undo the axle tubes and use a puller on that? Itl pull the bearing and tube off together. Probably need to replace some gaskets that way but will be easy enough.

What year fuel tank? I have one, it's used and not mint but as far as I can tell it's solid. In the north east though.

I LOVE the way it looks but i don't think PC plod will.

Psst...... you aren't heard me say this, alright? But they may not be too bothered about it. Many of us have a few inches exposed and its rarely been an issue.

Chilly this time of year though.

How expensive would postage on cannons be? I'm near Newcastle so a bit far to collect.
