We're up for both Saturday dubs in the valley as it's just up the road for us and Sunday at Shobdon as long as it's not chucking it down.

Great work Nav keep pushing on some solid work there 

Started on the chassis, modified the front to accept A arm suspension the bottom plate will stay off to allow access for the gear change cable and the heater hoses. Oh I do like getting carried away 

I wasn't going to post any pictures of bonnet etc until it was in primer but have decided it can be seen in its raw state. A little more panel beating is required and obviously some light skimming of body filler.
Once it's on gas rams I will put a second bonnet catch on so I can release the primary lock then the safety catch so it opens on its own for filling with fuel ⛽️

Dash modified and Honda clocks fitted, bit more dash line work to do but essentially there

I'm not to keen on the fibreglass bonnet for the SandScorcher so I've made a rod for my own back, okay it's a bloody expensive way to achieve what I want but hopefully I'll end up with a steel properly opening and closing bonnet. Work in progress

If only i could build the real thing this quick, it's not Tamiya model perfect but I'm enjoying building it

I used Starchem on my Baja Nav it's pretty good stuff, not sure if you know a little tip wrap what you are working on with masking polythene, stops it drying out so has longer to work it's magic

While we were at the show, I took the opportunity to chat with a few paint‑shop guys to get some quotes for the prep and paintwork on Mufasa.
Let's just say the numbers nearly put me on the floor. The quotes came back anywhere from £8,500 to £18,000, and I swear my heart skipped a beat.

Clearly, a proper paint job isn't for the faint‑hearted — or the light‑walleted!!!!

Are they putting an engine in at that price as well £8500 would make me buckle
