Are there any plans for Friday afternoon/evening? There is a great pub in Wareham, Rivo's hub ( vehicle themed)  where the owner is a great aircooled fan.  The food is fantastic too.  If there's enough numbers,  he'll let us have the conservatory for free.

Crushing the shims against the rear saddle bearing deforms the bearing which then seizes on the crankshaft locking the motor luckily it has not spun the bearing and damaged the case.

Just rebuilt this low mileage 1776cc motor that seized with about 1000miles on it.
The cause was a crimped rear bearing that locked onto the crankshaft
the shims were equal to or a fraction more than the end float you can see the abrasion on the mating face and 2 have welded them selves together with heat generated by friction and they will not pull apart easily.
The three shims are there to provide slip to save wear on the bearing thrust face so need to be free to move.

Left to Harlington a right on bend pass long dale a left at crossroads to Pilsbury castle and down the gated track to Harlington. Right to manifold inn [ good food] out to Tagg kane dairy for ice cream then back to camp

Thanks for organising the Manifold Inn Hugh have sent them a e mail thanking them for looking after us so well and planting the seed of a 2027 visit.
Annabel has booked us in for the 10th 11th July 2027 already

We decided on a prize for the camp site owners selection of the buggy I would like to take home and Vicky won so the prize is now back home.
Only one problem for me was setting timing on a freshly built 1914 motor seized solid whilst revving to 2k setting the timing it seized solid on the crank and the timing is still out at 3 degrees retarded with the 009.

The wife's Jas has make Invader Beach Buggy,  body type saloon been like it since 1971 when the buggy was originally built and the log book was first issued.

Had an online chat with Nat as she missed us but after charging £20 per person to get in and show a buggy at Upton on Severn so £40 a car.
2027 will be free entry for drivers on Sunday and passengers pay entry.

The Event is at Wick near Evesham but will chat with Nat nearer the time

The saturday cruise route as off the map and google earth, will test it thursday on a live run. i have about 25 printed copies done to hand out.
