Hello, I wanted to do exactly the same, but like you found the price to be ridiculous.

So I used a pair of my mrs old black tights.  ;D
I took the filters off then used the base and top plates to sandwich and hold it in place.

It adds another layer of filtration, hardly noticeable and didn't cost me anything.

Introduce yourself bud, maybe add a little background. ;-)(-;

Most folk on here are helpful and 4 bolt steels are rarely used on a buggy so you may be lucky.

I used a loop with two cable clamps on it.  Not fancy , but cheap and has never come loose.

Welcome to buggy club  :)

If you have it, you may as well use it.  ;)
When the engine is warm and on tick over, look down the throat and make sure the butterfly
is completely upright, this is choke off.
When its cold switch with the ign on set and it so it is three quarters closed.
I had one and it always worked well for me.

People with out choke often are running twin carb set ups.

Hello,

I used the gearbox but didn't need the rest, so it is for sale.
I'm really not sure what it is worth, I know a price is a must for sale items.

I looked locally and a pair of used drums on their own is £20

So priced to sell at £60

Collection would be best please from LU3

I would put goggles on, gloves on, then just crack the dump plug.
It will ssshh a little...leave it to drain and come back to it when its emptied.
