Hi all

Update - MOT Passed today. No Advisory notes. All Clean.  8)

Just, one correction to my earlier posts, I said in my initial post that the Buggy had only done about 500 miles since it was built. The Odometer was zeroed then and it's reading 1211 now. So that's the mileage since build.

So, If any enthusiast on this forum is interested, please let me know. I'll wait until the weekend before I advertise it on one of the National car sales sites.

Many thanks

Geoff

Hi All
Yes £6k is what I'd like to achieve. It's a good looking LWB buggy and I haven't hesitated to spend on the right parts over the years. I just put a new Lucas battery on it last week.
Thanks

Hi All
Everything's ready for the MOT which brought forward to this coming Tuesday now. The new indicator stalk is fitted and working and it's all ready to go. Here's a few pics as promised. I'll leave it solely on this site for a week or so because I would prefer it to go to an enthusiast, so if anyone is interested and wants to make a sensible offer then please get in touch. If there's no interest after that time then I'll go ahead and advertise it more widely. All the best, Geoff (07495 978130) geoffphilpot@hotmail.com

Booked the MOT for 26th June. When I was running over everything I found that the Indicator stick was intermittent on the off side indicators so I've just had a new unit arrive. I'll fit that at the weekend. If anyone is interested in this beautiful beast, my mobile is 07495 978130 or geoffphilpot@hotmail.com.

More pics soon. Cheers

Thanks Dave

I'm sad to put it up for sale but the fact is I'm never going to get to enjoy it and it's such a shame for it to just sit in my garage year after year. So it's time for it to go to a new home and get used as it should.

Hi all

I'm looking to sell my LWB GP Superbuggy. Over the next couple of weeks I will take some more pics and post them here but I wanted to get something up on the Forum ASAP as it would be a shame to wait until the middle of the summer before putting it up for sale. I'm looking for £6K for it.

Spec wise, I built in in 1993 (or there abouts). I did a deal with a guy who restored VW's for a living and he supplied me with all good parts that would have come off a donor vehicle so I would avoid buying a car and being left with a pile of rust. The guy cut out the old floor pans and welded new pans in then I wire brushed the whole assembly and black hammerited it all. The engine is a 1600cc which was completely rebuilt into a new block, with new pistons heads etc. The gearbox was from a 1500cc as the guy said that would give it the best "oomph" I had a custom aluminium fuel tank made two years ago from a guy that builds and races grass track race cars. It's got a custom made subframe in the back which the two rear seats are mounted on. It had all new steering joints two years ago, then I MOT'd it and Taxed it and didn't use it. As it was made from a number of  vehicles it was registered on a Q plate - don't know if that makes any difference ? it's listed on the registration doc as a GP Beach Buggy.  It's done less than 500 miles since I built it !!  I'll get it MOT'd again so it will sell with 12 months MOT.

I've got a few pics of the build but they are pre-digital !!

Here's the one pic I have at the moment (The Ferrari shields have gone now in favour of Porsche Shields in honour of the Great Man).

If anyone wants to know more before I get on the case then please just let me know and I'll do my best to get you the info you require.

Thanks for looking
