Hi, is anyone able to identify the make of this cap please. Its the only one on a set of Alloy slot wheels that also bear the same italic A on the reverse of the rim.  Its 70mm tall and the base is 80mm. I'm in need of a set.

To split the column apart. Undo the four screws that hold the switchgear in. Under this you'll find the ignition switch. There may be two plastic caps. Remove these and the screws underneath. Theis will enable the top of the switch casing to be removed. You can leave the ignition switch in but may need to depress the lock or insert the key. Underneath on the main shaft is a crescent shape clip that has to be knocked out. Undo the hex bolt. The main shaft should now come out.  To access the bearing you will need to undo the circlip, squeeze in. Let me know if you need any pictures or parts as I've a few columns and it's one of the jobs I'm doing on my own car currently as Dave has seen and not a buggy.

Beam sold. I have found pair of coil over shocks. 

I've got the following for sale. An internal filler fuel tank with sender and cap. Cap could probably do with a new seal. £50 ono. Front beam with leaves. £60ono. I may have some torsion arms but they will need new ball joints. 4j steel wheels from a Beetle I think £25 each and there are 2 available. Prices are ono and collected please from Devon. I'm near to postcode TQ12 1BN. I don't mind if you want to send a courier but am unable to wrap or palletise.

Hi, can I ask for a picture please of the following with a height measurement from floor to top of tyre. It's for a rough guide whilst I set the car up.  A 275/50/15 and a 295/60/15 and tyre make fitted.

Looking at the picture the pans they seem to be fairly decent. Are they the original ones. If so it may well be worth considering localised repairs. Possibly take the seam sealer off and cleaning and repainting then reapplying the seam sealer.

You may also find the edges of the tunnel may need some work with regards to possibly welding sections in and making it straight. The rear of the pan is also attached to the torsion bar area and this can be a pain to get right. There is also a  lot involved in the drilling of the pans for plug welding. The more work you can do prior to welding the cheaper it will be.

If you have the skills and can remove the old pans and clean up prior to welding and it being booked in that will also save you money. You may also find the naps hat may need some repair. Pan dimensions are available online and go for the best quality you can afford.
