Hi All

Are the front and rear wheel brake cylinders on an early wide five drum the same or different 1953 to 1957. I think (oval) 30 mm wide shoes

I have got a siezed rear but a spare front, interchangeable or not

Gary, we are going to meet at Corley services and leave there at 7.00am and stop at Toddington for a cup of tea and a bit of breakfast  ;-)up
Allan

Thanks for the update, I am not going to make it to Corley for that time due to other things. I plan to go directly to the Ace Cafe and will see you there

Beach Buggy Engine and Exhaust Help / Re: Twin carbs
August 17, 2017, 10:16:54 PM
I have also had only a good experience with Kadrons, they are a very simple carb and easy to set up, not really sure about the drinking fuel issue mine seems really reasonable. To be honest I got paranoid as I have no fuel guage because of the stories about fuel consumption I was stopping at every fuel station. Trips to Belgium and Germany have proved this is unfounded in my case at least.

What snoppy says is correct, they should compress fairly easily and be harder to extend, they are there to stop you bouncing down the road. If you compress the suspension it should pop back up and not rebound more than about another half travel if that makes sense

Your problem is with the torsion arms or tight joint, take the shocks off and try it, my bet is that it will be close to exactly the same as it is now.

I only visited for the Saturday cruise but stunning riverside location for the large assortment of buggys from N,E,W and S. About 23 buggys went on the cruise to the Forest of Dean taking in the sweeping views from Symonds Yat before heading to Ross for supplies at Morrisons.

Great humour and camaraderie - so a brilliant way to maximise enjoyment of your buggy. I am sure stories, insights and images will be posted soon enough.

Was thinking of doing a runner but with Hugh CCTV about glad I didn't, great time thanks to Hazel for the organisation and the rest of you for the good company, we do enjoy this a lot
