Hi all,

I havent driven my buggy for two years and whilst I like the idea of driving it again, I not sure its really practical for me right now.
Just been out to see if can get it started, but at the moment its not happening.  May need to drain the fuel and try some fresh stuff.

Its a nice looking buggy, but wondering what sort of price it might fetch once the MOT goes back on it.

Anyhow heres the buggy wheeled out from undercover earlier today.

Should have been £324.80 , but as EBAY has a voucher code on at the moment comes down to 276.08

I decided in the end that I would be better off not risking the clearance at the front trying to get the cooper radials there too.  I woudl be pretty annoyed if they didnt fit or if they rubbed the headlight bowl area.  I also decided that safety first and a decent softer compound for stopping at the front would be sensible.

Now the  final stupid question is... Looking to get new wheel bolts, are they all standard size?

Just an update - cant quite figure then if the 215/70/14 are going to be a problem for the front in terms of height.  3.2 inch difference in terms of what I have now, but it does look like the clearance is pretty reasonable, and the 3.2 woudl be distributed top and bottom.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

Thanks for all the replies - some really useful information in there. 

Picked up the newly refurbed wheels and it does appear that the fronts are now shallower on the oustide edge which would mean they will sit closer to drum assembly and therefore I assume wont protrude now.  Sorry I dont know if theres an official terms for that measurement.  You can see the existing fronts here

Old Fronts are 12 cm from the bolt area to the wheel rim.  The new are 6 cm
Rear were 12 cm and now they are 11.
So it would appear I can step up a tyre width at the rear without the tyre protruding and at the front should be able to bring the wheels in a little

I dont think I can go much wider on the rear though?

the plan is to take a front and rear wheel off and place new rims on so I can see what might work....
