Beach Buggy Engine and Exhaust Help / throttle idle/stop Screw
May 10, 2020, 11:28:04 AM
I have managed to lose one of the idle/stop screw from the Kadrons yesterday ( yep I am a moron)
Had a hunt online but cannot find a replacement anywhere.
Any solutions on what else i can use would be greatly appreciated or where i could get a replacement.
Seems to run fine just using one screw for the moment but be good to replace it
Again thank you for your help and suggestions

Sticky balls were the problem,
Gave them a good clean and now I am getting a good squirt of fuel out of the Nozzle.
Thank you so much for all your help greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
look's like i will be sucking and blowing tomorrow to see If can get them moving,
I did remove the Brass Nozzle and the little ball bearing out of the top and then put it back, did not realise there is one at the diaphragm end as well.

Cheers Rob,
Would they stop carb cleaner spray if blocked? (l know this is more high powered)
I sprayed carb cleaner down the hole in the pump accelerator chamber and it came out of the brass Nozzle, would this mean the balls are moving freely?
thank you

I have sprayed carb cleaner in the holes on the pump chamber and it comes out the nozzle fine so i know that is not blocked.
I cannot see any holes in the diaphragm but when assembled and fuel is in the chamber I pump the accelerator arm and nothing comes out of the nozzle.

Thank you for all your help,
I am right in saying if i take the carb off and pump the accelerator pump I should see a jet of fuel come out the pump injector nozzle?
I am seeing nothing so guessing as you have all said I got accelerator pump issue.
Out of interest is the USA the only place you can order replacement diaphragms from?

Beach Buggy Engine and Exhaust Help / Carb issues me thinks

Hi,
Got a 1600 with twin Kadrons.
For some reason the buggy will not turn over unless I pour petrol straight down each carb, then it runs fine.
If I leave it for about 1 hour, I have to do the same again and stick petrol down the carbs for it to run.
I have done the normal checks of stripping each carb down jetting all the nooks and crannies and putting them back together.
I am taking the petrol from the fuel line and its fresh petrol.
Any ideas on what is causing it?

Beach Buggy General Help / MOT

Not sure if right section, but just went for an MOT and supposedly they have brought in that they have to actually locate the VIN Number on the chassis of the car.
Had My Car over 15 years and never been asked to find it before and guess what could not locate it, probably removed or sitting under the body somewhere along the tunnel
Any one know where i can get a Vin plate stamped so i can stick it on the car in case this starts to get more and more serious
thank you

Running a 1600 twin 40 kadrons, only way I can get it started is with Easy start squirted down each carb, but once its started its fine and runs very smooth and nice. but if I leave it to cool down completely i need the Easy start again.
Changed the spark plugs, changed the fuel,
Any ideas? was thinking maybe the carbs are running to lean and need that extra engine start to get them going?
confusing the crap out of me at the moment
Thank you in advance, FYI was running totally fine last year. left it over the winter months and now this
