Hi guys ( and ladies).....

Me and a friend are also coming to Stoneleigh .
We planned to go by camper but today when i picked it up, i've noticed there was a faillure with the brakes......
So we have to change our plans and will come by car.
This means we will be limited by lugage....
This also means we won't be able to bring a bbq, chair etc with us.
So, I know there is always a bigger BBQ at the 'camp' of the VW buggies... Can we abuse some space, so we don't have to eat raw meat    ?
If someone has got some extra ( 2) outdoor chairs..also nice.....
We will also be limited with some Begian beer ( cooling will also be a problem...) but I'll do my best...
See you all saterday/sunday.

So I didn't take the risk....I have 'found' an AT box which should have had a revision,  stronger flenses and stronger gears ( 3th and 4th).
Somebody else told me, if you check the oil from the gearbox and there are metal pieces of 3mm ( or bigger) in the oil ...leave the box and look for another... very small parts of metal are not abnormal. I think parts bigger than 1mm will worry me..... I'll check mine tomorrow...

I'm changing the complete chassis to IRS and I need a gearbox. So , in my surch, I prefer an AT instead an AM. 
I don't have an IRS  gearbox at the moment .  but i'll find the one i want....

Well, i haven't bought this box..of course it was offered for a low price and  just wondering...
I think i'll better surch a little longer for a decent gearbox

Hi, in my surch for An AT gearbox i have found one but the housing is damaged. I think the cluch/ flywheel came lose and ran intro the housing.
I have an old swingaxle AB gearbox with good housing.
Are those the same housings and is it possible to change the complete inside of the AT gearbox(IRS) into to AB housing (swingaxle)?
Or is this to much work and is it better i keep on surching for a good AT  Gearbox?
Anyone had done this before??

I have heard some people change the gearbox with another model. I know about the original beetle codes but what about placing a T2 or T3 gearbox in an original VW beetle chassis/engine? I've heard about a CA gearbox which just might fit ...
I wonder which VW gearboxes fit without any adjustment. So i mean...plug and play
In this topic i'm only talking about IRS gearbox

By any chance...somebody who has got a AT gearbox extra and willing to sell ? Please send me a PB.

I really want a stainless exhaust  a kind like the one  Mike "Beelzedub" Haussmann makes.
the model with the two baffles .
I've sended a PB to him but he didn't respond. Maybe he's to busy??
I've noticed more people would like to have this model on their Buggy.
Maybe Mike will respond to this warm call and we might be able to arrange a group buy?

Glad everybody got home without any breakdown or trouble with the buggies. 

The Belgian law is the same as the german, even worse...you can't tow another car unless it has a breakdown and than you have the leave the highway at the nearest exit. Not allowed, even if the towed vehicle is braked....     One Europe??? Pfff ....
Any idea where IBW 2017 will be? I've heard Switserland...but don't know if that's correct?
