Thanks, but they're quite a bit over the going rate.
They are not, if they are the only ones out there, it just depends on how much somebody wants them.

No , the point I was trying to make is that the Trekker/Thing/181 was last made in 1983, that's 33 years ago, quite collectable if I'm right in saying, that part may not be reproduced and if it is to what quality of the original , and you don't want to pay the going rate of what someone thinks they are worth ????????????????? What is the going rate ???????????????? Merry Christmas
I've seen many pairs of these spindles change hands, and fitted a few too, and I've seen the price rise significantly over the years. However this is a huge jump - £250 for just the spindles. The last set I saw sold (less than a year ago) went for £150 for the spindles, all 4 trailing arms, camber adjusting nuts, and useable ball joints.
If people pay the inflated prices then it pushes the going rate up in an unrealistic manner. This is why I won't be buying this pair for £250.
Thats the trouble with the VW scene, its become a cash cow, no longer a case of mates helping mates....and yeah Seth, thats a hell of a jump.
Thats nearly the new price of Tweeds from the States.......

What makes trekker spindles different?
They give about 3" of lift.

I did wonder if that was the case or if they were stronger. Basically raised spindles opposed to more common dropped spindles

Spot on. They're a little bit different though because both ball joints point downwards, which is better for taking abuse off road.
Got some now - thanks. ;-)up
