Title: GP BONNET FOR SALE
Post by: Luddite on June 30, 2016, 08:29:19 AM
GP Mk1 BONNET

I've had this kicking about for a few years, bought for a project which didn't quite get off the ground.  With central Jag type flip up cap fitted into a recess for a flush fitted look. It's been skimmed with filler for some reason so will need work to tidy it up but nothing difficult, just time consuming. I have the filler cap somewhere, will dig it out if anyone wants this. £25

I also have a GP mk2 bonnet with screen frame intact which I could also do with moving on.  I only just remembered about this one, so no pictures yet!  It's got a central fuel cap, covered by an alloy marine hatch.  Not in bad nick, £25 also.

I live a few miles from Santa Pod, and similar from M1 junction 14 for collection.

I'll mention these to the guys at Herbie Hospital, in case the owner of the buggy they are working on is interested before the paint goes on.

I'm not interested in a swap with that bonnet, before they suggest it.

The chap has enquired about your contact details on Facebook. I've pointed him in this direction.  If you are on FB you might want to look up the Herbie Hospital page.

Any chance of you posting them?  The mk2 would be very awkward I would imagine!

Thanks for pointing him in my direction.

Unfortunately I am not able to post them, but am able to pack and wrap them for shipment by Herbie H's favourite courier.

Yes, no probs.  I won't be able to do any until Saturday afternoon as I'm away until then, but I'll chuck some up here as soon as I can.

Rather embarrassingly, and extremely annoyingly, I can't find where the GP2 bonnet has gone to.  I had it in a local garage which is currently being turned into an extension.  The stuff inside was allegedly all taken to a local farm, but my bonnet isn't there.  If I can find where it's gone, I'll put pictures up. This is the second GP2 bonnet I have lost (the first went missing during courier transport of a project buggy down from Leicester, this was a replacement bought for that), it's beyond irritating.

GP1 sfs.  Get it before I lose it :(
