I've just got the confirmation email from the Carnival committee asking if we would like to do our 9th event the dates this year are Fri 29th to Sun 31st July.
"Firstly Happy New Year to you and your club.
We are just in the process of organising our carnival this year and are hoping that you will attend again ? As i know that the crowd's look forward to your participation.
If you can let me know that would be great , any problems please call me 07857******
Best Wishes
Darren"
Last year we booked camping at the Football club from the Thursday lunch to Monday lunch for those that can take a little extra time off. If anyone would like this option let me know?
So the first question is:
Do you want to do it?
Personally I'd love to see this run until at least number 10.
Yes yes yes and this year I'll have a buggy there too
Yes ;-)up fingure crossed i have a buggy this yr 8)
Flags,
I think it can be taken as read that we are always going to turn up at Swanage for the Carnival whether we are invited or not and asking if we want to do it is a bit of a no-brainer
Count me in - and hopefully Lisa is going to come with me too this year ;-)up
Dave what end should the snorers camp this year?

Hmmm.... Swanage weekend? Not sure is it worth it? is it a good weekend get together?
Oh go on then I suppose I could wander down may be... if I can be bothered....
Well of course Im there - its the social event of the year and officially my summer holiday!
Note how I kept out of the discussion about snorers..... Though no doubt Flags will be complaining about the all night raves and shenanigans in a tent near him. :-[ :-[ :-[ ;D ;D ;D ;D
Suppose I'll pop along ;D
Family stuff depending I will be there.

I'm going.......
Any ideas on what/where you would like for the cruise on Sat?
We did Weymouth 1 year but it does mean no chain ferry.
hi flags,
think it would be nice when we can get all the buggy's somewhere near a beach and park there for the picnick.
also gives a good opportunity to shoot some nice pictures ;-)
and as Always, i go with the flow, you know the area best.
Agreed here too... I think both runs and stop offs were ideal for the last 2 years. (And yes that stop off in Weymouth was nice enough but personally I prefer picnic locations instead)
personally i found poole a pain in the ass cause i don't know where i'm going, lulworth was spot on.
Need to make sure we stop off near a Supermarket at some point for provisions, because Swanage shops are usually empty from mid afternoon onwards

Agreed... and more likely to be a little cooler/fresher from supermarket fridges as we then drive onto picnic location.
The theme for Carnival 2016 is "Sit Coms".
Will add it into the diary.....................and other stuff permitting we'll headdown ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up

No need to book, I'll do an updated list closer to the date.
Be good to see you.
yes, yes and thrice yes ;D ;D
MBC contingent, what time do you guys usually set off on the Friday?
Annoyingly I don't usually work on Fridays but on this occasion I will be and I'm wondering whether to have it off so we can travel together?

Yes what he said.
As to costumes for this year. Options are good, but some of us have been discussing going as Hi de Hi characters. There is a inexpensive costume available, but basically, Yellow Jacket, White shirt or blouse and ideally white trousers.
The link here will help.
http://www.joke.co.uk/adult-happy-camper-man-costume~67180/#info
if you could let me know if you will joining this costume option - obviously, the more the merrier.
I admire your imagination and extrovert style but fancy dress isn't really my thing.
But I found a simple half way house of a Goodies T shirt which I'm going to wear. The Goodies were more my immature humour....
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/THE-GOODIES-1970s-Retro-COMEDY-T-SHIRT-70s-80s-VINTAGE-TV-FUNNY-Sizes-to-4XL-/110965540625?var=&hash=item19d60fc711:m:mMOR-h7ocLd9LQev1S_aFBA
like that T shirt..... might just have to have one of those anyway.... :D :D
I like the T-Shirt too.
There's another hi-de-hi kit here too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-De-Hi-Male-80s-Yellow-Coat-Costume-Mens-Fancy-Dress-Outfit-Butlins-New-/151312791100?var=&hash=item233af1f63c:m:mZP8S6d5rq-7feoKxOEUo9g (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hi-De-Hi-Male-80s-Yellow-Coat-Costume-Mens-Fancy-Dress-Outfit-Butlins-New-/151312791100?var=&hash=item233af1f63c:m:mZP8S6d5rq-7feoKxOEUo9g)
Happy to go with the consensus
Well we could simply have an invasion of 30 buggys all saying 'The Goodies' but I doubt it will satisfy the full throttle Monty dressing urge of most on this site !
Meanwhile, for those new folks on here, wondering what all this Swanage business is about....
Here are a selection of videos I've put together (some with other folks footage) of previous years whilst down for the Swanage weekend.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHDSJbEgDUE&list=PLrQTkoSnqkn3UMtC4S5yGqUqo6JvYG28_
The typical itinerary of the weekend (organised by Flags) is:
Go down on the Friday afternoon.
Set up camp in the football grounds which us buggy lot take over for the weekend.
Chill Friday evening.
Saturday a bit of a days cruise may be across the ferry, around Poole, and long the coast in Dorset, a few stop offs with a nice picnic at a suitable location.
Head back to base camp, may be have a BBQ and then head down to the beach for one of the best firework displays around (how do they set of those fireworks from the sea?)
A few drinks (and a few more) in the club house.
Sunday, typically breakfast in the club house (subject to confirmation/enough folks wanting it etc.)
then getting ready for ...
The Parade. - starts at 2pm'ish and we lead the procession - if its a fine day with the great crowds - its an amazing buzz driving through them!
Then either head home (before the crowds) or stay another night at the campsite.
If you have never been before - do it! its a weekend you will love!
And finally am sure Flags will want you to remind you all...
"It never rains at Swanage!"
Sorry for being a bit late on details but there has been a lot going on in the background.
I've got a bit of bad news for those of us wanting to turn up on the Thursday but the club has been hosting an international film company at its facilities and they will now not be clear until Friday lunch. This has been a major income generator for the club and there was no way they could refuse the extra day.
So... Please DO NOT arrive at the club until 1400Hrs on Friday. If anyone still wants to come down on Thursday I'm trying to get a fairly local small campsite sorted this afternoon so I'll keep you posted.
Details otherwise are unchanged, bar open on Saturday night, BBQ available for our use all weekend if we wish, for those that are able to we can stay until Monday lunch, cruise on Saturday to Fragile Rock (Portland) via Weymouth to get a picnic and the Carnival Procession on Sunday.
As said before, apologies for the lateness on the changes but I've only just been informed.
As for fancy dress, we are not officially part of the procession but more of a warm up act so don't worry if you don't want to get dressed up as the Buggies make a big impact anyway but....... How about Hawaiian as it certainly worked at IBW?
As said before, apologies for the lateness on the changes but I've only just been informed.
Bugger, I bought my marigolds for the Thursday Clean Fest....... ;D ;D
I've been assured that it will be all good as the film company are doing a clean before they leave.
Are you still up for Thursday if I can sort a site?
Snowy and I are happy to change to the Friday. 8) 8)

caouse you said we could stay till tuesday.
any chance theres some place i can stay from thursdat till friday?
because we also would like to see swanage with the pirate action.
Ok Mate, I'll try to find a site close for the Thursday night, Monday is not a problem.
The club have only recently made these changes which are out of my control but we always work something out for our Euro buddies.
ok, thanks mate.
will be good to be there again
...strangely, I'm more nervous about a trip down to Swanage than I was to Dusseldorf, Germany.
Finally got the Friday off so I can (all being well) convoy down with the rest of the Midlanders ;-)up
;-)
All things being equal, we're threatening to make it down for the Sunday (pre)procession (and if we can get up early enough, breakfast). We would come earlier if it wasn't for a) Kim (daughter) and Arran (partner) coming down for the weekend and b) Honeybunny not fancying camping all that much.
It'd be good to finally meet some of you buggers...
Patrick,
I have really struggled to find a site this time of year that will let you only book 1 night but....
I have found a non electric grass pitch in Moreton (just down the road from me and Ollie) that has vacancies.
I'm stopping there on the way home to see if I can do a provisional booking for you, have a look at the link and see if it suits:

They still have spaces but would not let me reserve 1 as they only do bookings online from the www.pitchup.com website, let me know if you need any help.
As camp Bestival at Lulworth castle is starting on the 28th all the Wool camp sites are either booked up or won't let you just stay for 1 night.
If anyone else wants to camp on Thursday down here the Walled garden looks like an ideal place to chill, only a mile and a half from my warm bed but I'm thinking of it!
Breakfast is confirmed for Sunday as long as we have enough interest.
Patrick-you can park camper on my drive if you are stuck for a site Thursday night

Yes Dave "smoked cheese" with an internal petrol infused rind that is best removed before consuming.

Tip top, sorry I missed your call the other night. I'll be meeting Paul and then joining up with you guys a little further down the line ;-)up
Well the town is expecting us now! Posted a photo on their Swanage Carnival official Facebook page and its sparked a lot of likes and I've offered a ride around town for some guys whose birthday it is!
So Flags, you may get a visitor (Graham Sprigg) asking for me on Friday afternoon (I should be there by then) he's a mate of Mark the Clubs Chairman.
Everyone must have realise I'm a bit stupid by now so,what is all the a,b,c, thing about on the route map ? ???
I think Flags says he has not finished his posting of the route but I think you will find letters are places that the convoy will stop at to look at the view or can get fuel or have a picnic or is a place of interest to note as you drive past or a recognised collection point for recovery services. I am relying on most other buggyites being old hands at Swanage and knowing what the crack is and where they are going.
I suggest you adopt my policy of making sure I keep within sight of the buggy ahead and do what it does...
I wasn`t aware that Flags even knew his ABC, let alone being able to write it down :-\
;-)(-;
Looking at them I would suggest they are shown in the wrong order,
2nd map image is from Swanage to near Tyneham (the ghost village went there 2 years ago)
Then the first map: from Tyneham to near Bovington Camp
Then the 3rd map onto near Moreton
??
Not my fault. Photobucket is being a real pain at the minute so they are in the wrong order.
Correct on the ABC etc details to follow later but I've got a lot on at the Mo so please bare with me.
If you could pass on any salient points to anyone that doesn't do the internet I'd appreciate it.
Ta.
Perhaps the stop points are to collect Pokemons ;D
Flags playing Pokemon? That I gotta see!
Here you go then:
Firstly can I ask you all to fill up before the cruise as stopping for fuel as a group is a bit of an issue, we will be forming up on parade in the lower part of the car park from 1045 onwards, it's split into 3 legs with photo stops on route, a pub break and finishing at the pretty little village of Moreton (more on that in part 3).
A. Starting point at the football club car park, turn right as you leave to avoid the bottle neck of the traffic lights at the end of the road.
B. Left at the T junction.
C. Right at the end of the road on to the A351.
D. Fuel stop if you really need it BUT we will see you when you catch up at F
E. Right at Corfe Castle heading to Lulworth.
F. Left into car park viewing point which some will remember from the wedding photos we crashed a couple of years ago. Photo stop and a catch up for stragglers.
Pt2 after a beer...........
(http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn60/Flags692/ROUTE1.png) (http://s301.photobucket.com/user/Flags692/media/ROUTE1.png.html)
Pt2
A. Right out of car park.
B. Right at end of road on the Lulworth bypass.
C. Right on the A 352 heading to Wareham.
D. Right onto Puddletown road, this is a bit of a blast for those that want to.
E. Gather up the troops at the Tank turning point, no chance of being squashed by 60 tons of screaming dermatitis though as the real Army hands over to the hobby squaddies at the weekend and they will all be filling in their expense forms!
More photos and fix Dave's Buggy. (You know what Dave)
(http://i301.photobucket.com/albums/nn60/Flags692/ROUTE2.jpg) (http://s301.photobucket.com/user/Flags692/media/ROUTE2.jpg.html)
The 3rd and final leg.
A. Right out of turning area for more fun, left if it's Pi+++ng down.
Between A and B you do a right at the end of the road and then 1st left heading for Bovington.
B. Left for the Tank Museum, as you turn left Laurence of Arabia's cottage is on the left, if anyone wants to have a look we can park just after it in the small carpark on the left? See G.
C. Londis shop to grab a sandwich for the picnic.
D. Right heading for Wool then right at next roundabout.
E. Turn right at petrol station just before the railway lines, 30MPH and quite narrow a bit further on in the village.
F. Shandy stop at The Seven Stars, if anyone is too posh for a picnic you can lunch here and catch up down the road at G.
G. Moreton. Here you have: Tea Rooms (nice cake), T. E. Laurence's grave, a Ford (not the car) for those that want to brave it or have a paddle, Church with famous stained glass windows and walks etc.
Parking is free but you need to find a spot wherever you can, we can decide what time to head back whenever you are ready and it's a little less than 30 miles each way.
Enjoy

Nice one flags.
Will bring the drone (as long as it's more reliable this time) so subject to wind and standard flight restrictions (m.o.d. Land as well as people and things) will try some aerial views. That wedding crash site was a good one but will check before hand.
Yes thanks Flags.
Looks a varied journey with clear instructions and a Londis sandwich for lunch is just my level of fine dining.
Just checked, those using the ferry to cross at sandbanks, the toll for cars has gone up from last year (and most camper vans) and is £4.10 (cash)
Get your change ready!
We have a slight change of plan in that there will only be the two of us rather than four when we come down on Sunday so if we're brave enough to come without the roof (it usually lives in one of the rear footwells which in a swb Jas aren't huge at the best of times) we may now have a couple of spare seats if there's still anyone who wants to take part in the parade but doesn't have a seat.
Question is, how can we make sure hook up with the rest of you guys during Sunday late morning (probably 11:00ish)?
Importantly although there's been mention of breakfast on Sunday which I think we'll probably arrive too late for :( it'll be lunchtime soon after we get there, so can anyone tell us whether

then getting ready for ...
...involves lunch? :D

Dead easy - head straight for the Football Ground, and you will find us all there ;-)up
Once we have done the procession, we usually park up some where for a bit of an inpromptu display, usually within spitting distance of the town, and then we tend to search for lunch - loads of places to grab something !!
Be good to see you there ;-)up
Flags,
If this works here are the 3x section as google maps links. So you can copy these to your smart phone and will act as sat Nav directions on the phone using google maps app.
https://goo.gl/maps/ij1vAsZniDH2
https://goo.gl/maps/cW99N9AvsZA2
https://goo.gl/maps/74mTyfbjS572
I think I have the routes right (give or take a little) - can you confirm?
(EDIT: I post this up before I saw Hazel had posted about My Maps - very useful! ;-)up)
I did this earlier but wasn't sure whether it was 100% so didn't share, but you can follow the gist of where Flags is going...
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xgOfLifeSdRlwifM4kRLXWvylF4&usp=sharing (https://drive.google.com/open?id=1xgOfLifeSdRlwifM4kRLXWvylF4&usp=sharing)
Not the most finished or polished maps I've done using my maps but as I say, you get the gist.
Flags, if you want to use/edit the map, I can send you the link to make changes.
Both are great but... don't forget the Purbeck triangle that absorbs all things mobile signal.
If anyone is unsure they can print any of them though.
Hi Everyone,
Mark, Janet, Sarah and RATITUDE is coming to Swanage again and looking forward to seeing everyone,
Should be there around teatime tomorrow,
But again taking the comfortable option again and staying at a hotel nearby,
Flags will it be ok to park the trailer at the football club?
;-)(-;
An update.
Road runner ie Bob and Joyce are also coming down as well this year and staying at the same hotel.
He has been practising his convoy techniques so most of you should be safe but I can do crash repair estimates if the worst should happen again.
;D
My Daughter Sarah is looking for a ride on the Saturday cruise and the parade Sunday if anyone has a spare seat,
She is 20yrs old and house trained
:)
All you swanage bound folk have a good time and the weather looks set fair as well.
Hi . We hope to be there for the first time in our Beach Buggy Jazz. Fairly local so will travel on the day (Sunday).
Look forward to seeing you guys. :)
Wayne and Bev
Myself and Nigel are looking forward to joining you later today.... when I get out of work.
Hope to join you on the run out , what time are you starting the run?
Anyone else travelling down to Swanage tomorrow morning and passing near Bristol? Just in case you fancy teaming up?
As always, such a brilliant weekend
Great to meet up with some old friends, great to put some faces to some I had never met, and really great to meet some new people who signed up on here - the weekend was over far too quickly.
A huge thank you to Flags (and Karen) for organizing yet another awesome weekend, and you can be proud that we have all gone home with hangovers, sunburn and big smiles on our faces.
This event is held each year to raise some coffers for the Swanage Football Club, and everything we raise from the camping, breakfasts and anything put behind the bar, go towards the upkeep of the place. I`m fairly sure Flags will have gone round everyone to collect any camping fees, but in the unlikely event that he missed anyone out, can you be sure to make contact with him and settle up before the final amount raised is announced.
Counting down till next year, which will be our 10th Anniversary at Swanage . . . So a bit of a party may be called for
Put it in your diary now ;-)up
Well said Dave and as a first timer I can confirm it's true it doesn't rain at the Swanage weekend !
I know Vanessa will kindly upload some no doubt fantastic and fun images and I hope others do too so that next year the money raised and total buggy count can break all records.
Just a few samples of the Swanage magic. You have to be there to fully appreciate the buzz...

Far too many inspired and happy looking sit com fancy dress images but here's two - I hope Vanessa and others will show the Yellow coats, Flags and Karen from the 70s etc:
(http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah108/hughfwghfw/P1080639_zps05sewnrb.jpg) (http://s1378.photobucket.com/user/hughfwghfw/media/P1080639_zps05sewnrb.jpg.html)

But I did spot Gordon and Liz with someone who reminded me of a Cuban dictator or possibly even El Presidento (surely a serious offence to impersonate either):
(http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah108/hughfwghfw/P1080648_zps0ugybd5s.jpg) (http://s1378.photobucket.com/user/hughfwghfw/media/P1080648_zps0ugybd5s.jpg.html)
But the impersonation was going up in the smoke of Gordans exhaust:

And then the impersonator was seen spraying bubbles so clearly not a bossy dictator:
(http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah108/hughfwghfw/P1080653_zpsplv9ivwl.jpg) (http://s1378.photobucket.com/user/hughfwghfw/media/P1080653_zpsplv9ivwl.jpg.html)

Last look at Corfe:

And straight home trying to keep up with Allan and Dave Dream:
(http://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah108/hughfwghfw/P1080676_zpstyagxzji.jpg) (http://s1378.photobucket.com/user/hughfwghfw/media/P1080676_zpstyagxzji.jpg.html)
I look forward to more to balance up the 35'ish buggys that were there on all three days.
And lastly there were some official Pier Pressure shots taken so Chad could we have a couple of those on here to remind people of 'the' event of the year ?
Well I've only done 5 Swanages myself (3 in buggy, 2 in daily) and I have to say, this year was the best yet. The parade was amazing with all the crowds. (Folks if you have never done Swanage, you really need to and next year for all the buggies is going to be very special indeed!)
Well done Flags for NOT organising it (He doesn't organise it, but merely co-ordinates it with the carnival parade committee, ensures we are ok to stay at the club, gets the numbers for breakfast to ensure the club is happy to do the breakfast, ensures we raise so good funds for the club, plans out a epic cruise for the saturday and ensures everyone is happy!). But he stresses he doesn't organise it!
My apologies for being a right pain with the cameras over the whole weekend and pointing it in peoples faces all the time, but if I have just half the footage I think I have, I think we will have lots to put together into a video of the weekend. And am really really sorry for that swarm of bees that kept hovering over your heads, hope it didn't disturb you too much! But I think its going to take some time indeed to put it all together! I might show a few snippets in the coming days....
Another apology for for the many folks I didn't get round to chatting much with over the weekend.

(No idea on the bay)
Meanwhile, here's the first teaser clip from the weekend as we start to lone up ready to go out on etc cruise around Dorset on the Saturday morning.

Brilliant Andy. Brings back the real memories and adds some delightful 'false' ones of flying around watching an amazing gathering. If this doesn't inspire others to try and come next year then only bribery is going to work !
Home at last, easy trip home, even the m25 was moving, great to catch up with everyone and a big thanks to Flags for not organising the weekend.

Just bloody wonderful, as Hugh said "you had to be there," and I will be next year, just to bulk up the numbers of blue buggies, and add some noize ;-)up
Fantastic weekend - thanks Flags!
Parade was awesome. Roll on Swanage 2017😀
Thanks to those who bump started me on the second stop - so embarassing :-[ Had visions of one of those war films where you ask everyone to carry on whilst you're left for dead.
That's what you get when you flood your engine when you think yours has started under the noise of all the others around.

Made me laugh as Dave Dream - in a separate conversation over the weekend quoted Arnie in Predator - you'll have to do your own accent:
'You fall behind, and you're on your own.'
Here's a little clip I did early Saturday morning whilst everyone was still fast a sleep (well apart from Gail and Dave "As seen wandering in Town" Coleman!)
Though be warned, theres no buggies in this clip!

But rest assured there are in this one.... not done Swanage before? You are missing out!!!!

Swanage Post eXercise Report (PXR)
Well thanks Guys and Girls for making No. 9 the biggest yet, I thought I'd do a bit of a wash up this year as the next Carnival will be the big 10th anniversary.
Firstly if anyone has points that they feel may be a little on the delicate side that does not want to air their views here you can always send it to me or Dave via email and remain anonymous.
So... I keep saying it but I have to do the minimum to 'not' organise Swanage as it kind of runs itself, the danger is I do things that I like and that I think you will like if you get my drift?
Just a couple of examples to kick it off:
Do we want T-shirts, whether it is just as a one off for No. 10 or do a different one every year and put a little into the Football club from the proceeds. If that's a yes to either then who is going to volunteer to take it on as I don't have the contacts or design skills.
What format do we want for the party next year; Jazzy has already stepped up to offer his DJing expertise but do we lay on a bit of food with the club providing it or will anyone volunteer to do the BBQ (then what if it rains?). Do we fancy dress theme the party then all wear the costumes for the parade?
That's just a couple and I have a fair few more but I'd rather they come from the Buggy family (YOU).
So, we raised £818.50p in camping and donations, plus Breakfast and bar profit which would break the £1000 we aim for which 100% goes straight back into the club.
This year more used local B&B's or other facilities then ever before but as we had more in total numbers it was not a problem and our targets for the club were met all be by dropping the free Sunday night and by the majority of those staying off site making some very generous donations (Massive thanks for that).
I think Breakfast was a success and would like to keep it on as it's easy for the post Saturday night hangovers and the club makes a little, but we were just over viable numbers this year so we may have to tie this down a little tighter in future.
Thank you all again for making this, myself and Karen have had a fairly pony year so far with losing Isla and everything else going on so we needed a lift which you provided.
Oh, I nearly forgot has anyone got a shotgun for the 6am wood pigeon?
Ta.
I reckon a fancy dress party for the Saturday night is a must ;-)up
Your idea of some "Finger Food & Nibbles" sounds excellent - and I`m sure that a few extra bits / cakes / party food would be brought along by us also to top it up - so along with MC Jazzy, I think we have the basis of a great party planned.
Didn`t hear the Pigeon mate . . . Too busy snoring :P
T- Shirts a must I reckon! (we all know who to nominate for that .... after he gets back from the piers!)
Food/nibbles etc on the Saturday is a good one, best not do a BBQ (in case of weather) But we can always eat outside if fine.
Been having a think about next year and am pretty sure I will be back on the campsite again and will do the Thursday through to Monday. So at least with my snoring you won't hear this pigeon again. (swarm of bees, that I can't promise though...)
Suppose I'll do the T-shirts then ;D
I think inside buffet food is best idea - maybe a small price per head.
Happy to campagain, would be even better if the club agreed to terrace the bank ;D ;D
I'll give you a call if I think of anything, but always one of my favourite weekends away so can't be much wrong with it :)
Chad
Think t-shirts are a good idea and fancy dress would be fun! A charge for food (perhaps paid in advance) would make sure there were enough funds to cover the catering cost without the club being out of pocket. ;-)up
Thinking along the line of fancy dress, is the Pirate Theme that was noticable along the seafront going to be a repeated theme each year, if so we could take up this theme also as a continual theme.
hi guys, i'm back home, safe and sound.
a huge thanks to flags for not organizing swanage ;-)
seems one of the best weekends ive had in years.
next year ill be back and need help, you know ill help.
cheers guys
Good to see you all again Patrick, glad you had a good time.
Glad you got back OK too.
Next time bring choclate and beer ;D
Chad, Ruth and Alex
i can bring beer and chocalate, but then the footbal club will have no one drinking in there lol
Whilst this year was only our third visit, both Snowy and I thought it was the best one we had experienced so far (excluding the poor running of our buggy)
Obviously, the weather played its part in that, all the same, a great gathering of great people for a great event, as others have said, a highlight in the season.
Going forward.
If the option to pull in on the Thursday returns for next year, Snowy and I would take it and next year we plan to leave on the Monday morning instead of Sunday afternoon/evening
T shirts will be a great idea, may be ideal to mark the 10th year, rather than a yearly thing, but I would guess this is down to pricing going forward and the amount that would commit to purchase.
As to the party,
Fancy Dress - Discuss
As we all know, the fireworks display is always well supported by us, so we need to consider when we would be doing food and getting the disco bloke..... to get going.
On a side note, Flags, can you please ask the club about the use of smoke machines, some venues do not allow them (Boring), but lighting is highly enhanced when a small amount of smoke is used, especially with lasers....!!! ??? ???
That's my toe dipped in the conversation....
Patrick..... :D :D
I could provide a large shopping list of food stuffs to be brought across with you, but you might not end up with much room for the kids...... ;D ;D ;D
hahaha jazy,
i can bring a whole lot with me, but think i need a bigger camper then lol.
or maybe bring another buggy with me ;-)
