As it says really. Early Bus solid 14" wheels. Up to four needed.

Cheers David. Have messaged him but they do look like they are vented type in the pics
Sorry, I forgot there were two types.
I drove a Splitty once...never again!!! 8)
They aren't that bad! A funny drive though. They are only 9" longer than a beetle but you obviously sit over the wheels. I love em but have been priced out of owning one again. It's like the property ladder now. Step off and you'll struggle getting back on.
This one was on XJ6 wheels with adapters and dodgy remoulds and the brakes pulled hard left when you even thought of touching the pedal...not a good combination... ;D
Here's a pair, let me know if I can help with collection and shipping.

Thanks David. I think I've found a pair down this way. Will find out Wednesday.
Just researched a little and it's Trekker wheels I need. All the van ones have some kind of vent in them. Not too confident in finding them!
Are the ones on Rods n Sods Trekker ones then? I though 5" was wide for a Splitty wheel.
It looks like they have the very shallow vents in them. The Trekker ones are 5jx14 but with no vents so like a beetle solid but smaller mad wider!
How did meyers put the solid 14"s on his? Rerimmed beetle centres? Are they 14"s back and front do you know?
The Americans often lathe turned down 15" wheel centres to fit into smaller rims.
EMPI did it with their 10" wide Sprintstars, they imported narrow wheels, removed the centres and turned them down to fit into what look like dumper rims. I had a pair once, really shodily done.
Stockton Wheels in California have been the steel wheel gurus in the US for decades.

I'm pretty sure Old Red has 14" all round but I may be wrong.
Cool. Been looking for a machine shop for a while but no one seems keen to take it on.
Mach 5 seem to ba able to do most things wheel-wise.

Yeah they look good. Have contacted them before about rerimming. Quite expensive but I guess quality is expensive!
Old Red looks like it's on 14's in this pic, look at the gap between the hubcap and the rim.
Nelson (BL3manx) would know for sure.

This up to date pic looks like it's still got the same wheels...

Rears might be 15" hard to tell. I've been struggling over my wheel decision for bloody years! Literally!
Decent size 14 inch rear tyres are getting scarce these days.
Yeah have seen they aren't so widely available. As it is a vintage look I am going for it will have specialist tyres. Probably 185/70-14 on the front and 215/70-15 on the rear.
I found this link over on the dark side, it sounds like they can do anything wheel-wide and the prices look OK.

Thanks David. Have got someone to rerim my solid 15's to 7". Going to run them with the 5" Trekker fronts. If I feel the need to go bigger in the future then I'll probably have to move in to banded country!
