I thought I made it clear..... I have banned Andre from all events this year!!! (Particular as his car has been just as unreliable as the buggy so far)
I may come along during the day for the cruise but won't be camping I'm afraid (Prior evening engagement) So you can buy your own tent pegs! ;D ;D ;D

Now we both know that's not true fella.
Stop being a tart. Get ya tent in ya buggy, bring spare pegs ( forget the cable ties) and come for the weekend.

Should probably add Dave DND to the list since he's paid but may have prior engagements :-\
I might pop down to Banbury and check out a few more of the roads and come up with a cruise, hope you don't mind having a different arse to follow this year ;D but we'll see. Will probably still need to call on Chad and Snoopy for their experience!
While I'm here and we're getting a bit of a list together, who apart from myself and the Snoopys' fancy a trip to the Hook Norton Brewery (http://www.hooky.co.uk/), the tour times round the Brewery are Friday 11.00am & 2.00pm and Saturday 10.30am & 1.30pm unfortunately nothing on the Sunday.

"Officially" there is only 1 more pitch remaining.
For those that have already booked, how do we feel about squeezing up and getting friendly? I know if previous years it hasn't been a problem, I think we could get more on the site but just wanted to put it out there really...

Hazel,
I think we probably both know the answer to this one, but it may be worth a courtesy call to the campsite to make sure that they are ok with an oversubscribed field. I know that we are all happy to squeeze together and camp "refugee stylee" as we always do, but check that there are no planning / insurance / bylaw restrictions imposed on the campsite for the number of plots they can allocate, as I know for certain that this can often be an issue with some of the smaller campsites down this way. Some local authorities can be a but funny over stuff like this and its worth double checking with the campsite owners, as we don`t want to get them into trouble.
Looking like a cracking turnout so far ;-)up

Dave,
I had already spoken to Alistair (general manager) when I originally visited the pub to book it for us and he was happy to squeeze more in - as long as we were happy to go "refugee stylee". The site is fairly big but there is a bit of a slope and we'd be up on the flat bit of the "hill" so there is room for overspill and parking the buggies. (I did take some pics when I visited, will try and dig them out). Anyway, I dropped him an email to double check it was ok to have more pitches and his words were:

So no need to worry, I will not be getting anyone into trouble. The more the merrier! Come on folks, let's make it one they won't forget! (in a good way)

If you're my friend on facebook, you'll have seen that I popped to the pub and did a trial cruise around the area on Sunday.
It's about 70 miles, same as last year - I hope you're all up for it!
I also went in the buggy to Spencer Signs to pick up the commemorative stickers for N.E.W.S. (and another upcoming event) today, for some reason they are a little bigger this time. Anyway, I'll be selling them to raise money for the Alzeihmer's Society.

Sorry, still can't do the camping, but am really looking forward to the cruise on the Saturday so will be there for that for sure. :D :D :D
Sounds like you have sorted out a great one Hazel. ;-)up
(Can someone just make sure I have my cameras running this time.... :-[ )
are you sure you trust hazel to lead you on a cruise she has set up and organised??

I`m certain Hazel will have a great Mystery tour lined up for you, and she will be a great person to lead it ;-)up
However,
Its not the cruise thats the hard bit, its ending up back at the campsite afterwards ;D

Think they may well beat us on turn out, they are in California after all. But we can be a close second! Lots of photos to be shared after the events I think !
got some plans afoot for some time lapse shots that span the pond !

Are the stickers big enough to cover the damage to the front if my bonnet when I crashed the buggy into my house? :'( :'( :'(
Testa
You never know ;-)up all happy campers will be getting a sticker then it's £2 for everyone after (which as I said, goes to the Alzeihmer's Society) so save some pennies ;)

Cant wait mate, I missed most of last year putting the buggy together.
The hardest part will be the 280 mile drive to the pub :D
If you can get there, they'll be enough people to help you if you have any issues. I can make the tea and coffee ;D

One of my favourite buggy weekends so far, alway fun even when it rains the all weekend and you see fridges floating down the river.

Oh Andy I will be surprised to see you.
If you're making another N.E.W.S. video would be so kind as to give 'Beach Buggy Brummies' a mention this time or even a thanks to myself?

No problem at all ;-)up ;-)up Last years was due to the agreement with using Jonathan's video footage.
But this year, I can do more with premiere pro plus the new mac processes the movies in a fraction of the time. And will make sure all credits are on there ;-)up
I was surprised when you said you were coming too.
Never said I wasn't going... Only that Andre wasn't going!!!! Buggy will be there. There was just no way I could do the camping that's all. ;-)up

@Dan and @Hazel
Please keep your squabbles to other places, because these constant digs and jibes at people an here are becoming very tiring and childish.
They will not be tolerated any more and you have now been warned.

will see you on the beach in september if i dont see you before !

Is this camping including Sunday night?, you know what happened last year lol :D
Should think. The pub would be happy with an extra night was wondering that myself if it is nice up there.
Sonya, the camping is only for Friday and Saturday night. I can't imagine the extra Sunday night will cost too much - I can find out for you as I will hopefully be popping back to the put on Thursday.
Is anyone else is up for making another night of it and want to camp on the Sunday and while I am at the pub is there anything anyone would like me to find out/ask while I'm there?
Hi Hazel, well i slipped on my bathroom floor and hit the bath side and found out i have cracked a rib !!, painfull at the moment ,just about drive,so hopefully will still be able to make it to NEWS weekend,if not i will let you know a cple of days before,so that you may be able to give my camping space away to anybody who wants to go, bit of a bummer realy as realy looking forward to it. watch this space for my update in 5 days time.

See you all Saturday 8)

I just wana say thanks to everybody for making Jeanette, Josh and I so welcome. What a cracking weekend catching up with old friends and meeting new ones!
Yes it's peed down since we left the campsite so we've stopped for Costa, a warm oh and to re tape the number plate lol 8)
Keep smiling
Crowey @ Co.
Finally home. What an awesome weekend. Good campsite. Great food in the pub. As for the cruise. Epic is all I can say. Hazel did a fantastic job, even organising the photo shoot at Broadway Tower. Posting photos later. Far too tired to upload any at the moment.
Hi
Jayz and I got back safely.
I would like to say a Big Thanks to Hazel and Miller for organising another Top Weekend.
The car "failing to proceed" on Friday night was due to the distributor being too advanced (I don't know how this happened, not touched it since IBW????) It was a bad decision on my behalf to jump on the M40 at Warwick Friday night where Bugsy got hot and decided to spew 25W/40 all over the engine when we got off at Gaydon.
Jays and I would also like to thank Snoopy and Shaggy for being the Fourth emergency service and tailing us back to the campsite.
There is nothing worse than trying to pitch a tent by headlight and again another big thank you to Allan for his help and the use of his 1 million candle torch.
They say you never stop learning and by listening to the very knowledgeable people that you meet via the buggy scene, this is a very true statement.
This morning I learnt how to set your timing using a bulb, two wires and two crocodile clips.... again thank you Snoopy for going home to get the kit!
Thanks to everyone who came along to this very memorable event...... I didn't know there was a nuclear bunker sitting under the Broadway Tower.
Looking forward to the cruise video, which I am sure will be posted soon.
Kind regards
Lawson
Also made it home ok and again well done to Hazel for organising a cracking weekend.
Pub was great and the food was brilliant.
My buggy ran perfect all weekend apart from a small charging problem but that's an easy fix and
I would like to thank everyone for their kind words regarding my buggy.
Right peeps we've just got home already said thanks but hey thanks again ;-)up
See you all soon :D
Was a great weekend a pity about the rain but it did not dampen spirits, well done to Crowey and family on the near open top trek down from Cumbria and Sally and Peter from Kent.
Thanks to Hazel for the organization and the kango/snoopy surf board soon to be installed in the buggy.
Sunday lunch at the pub was epic as Dave Dream says, could not manage a sweet after a starter and main, pity I had to drive home so was limited to a shandy to wash it down.
Thanks to everyone for a memorable time.
Great weekend again and great weather for the cruse that was..... GREAT ;-)up
Sorry if we did not mingle a lot but with little kids they know when we move lol
Paddy
Just to Echo everyone else's comments what a brilliant weekend.
Not an area of the world I know a lot about but after the 70 mile cruise is certainly an area I would like to see a lot more of.
The Pub 'The Gate Hangs High' being so close to the Hook Norton brewery sold so great beer (Old Hooky) and the food was really good. They even cooked for me Ruth and Alex even though the kitchen had officially closed.
The facilities were great, nice showers, loos, good camping area, nice beer gardens and plenty for the kids to do safely.
Then there was the cruise. What a brilliant route, stopping half way in Bourton on the water (The Venice of the Cotswolds), then a real special treat being allowed so close to Broadway Tower, after making a stir driving through the middle of the Broadway summer fate.
So from the Chads a great big thank you and massive hats off to Hazel for pulling it together, orgainsing a cracking route and leading the cruise for the first time, I certainly know that's not easy.
Some pictures to follow soon (although I may have to censor one or two at the tower - Dan and Lawson ;D)
I reflect all of the views that have been mentioned.
Pub, food, beer and the company of some great pals.
Well done to Crowey and family for the slog down from oop norf and a safe return. Well done ;-)up
I was well behaved all the time I was there and as quiet as a mouse. Due to my noisy evening antics last year. Sorreeee ::)
The cruise was as you would expect epic thank to Hazels and co as has always been. Really enjoyed being the centre of attention as a group, you cant beat the vibe. Also for organising the Red Arrows flyby.
And the spectacular hill race. Yamaha R1 properly beaten on the bends up the Fish Hill to Broadway tower 8)
Thanks Hazel, Miller and Co and everyone who could make it. You are all truly Tip Top ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up
Echo to all the previous comments.
That has to be the best organised meet and cruise I ever went on, the sun was out and everybody had a wonderful time,
with the tower entrance being overshot by all the usual suspects after they did a fly by and shot up the hill :-)
2015 is on already and I look forward to doing it all again.
See you all soon, and Thankyou Haze for a stunningly well done weekend away
It was EPIC! :-)
This year was my first NEWS and I loved every minute of it!!! ;-)up
I would like to thank hazel for pestering shaggy to let me (finally) tag along!! The gate hangs high is an amazing pub with great food and people.
Best of all was the cruise... Well what can I say I've never seen an area so beautiful and so much fun to be in!! Every stop that we had were amazing places too!!
Thank you hazel for organising such a brilliant weekend!!! I'm really looking forward to next year, maybe I'll be driving there myself!! ;-)up :D :D
Everything's been said already and everyone's right. Top event, top pub, top beer and brilliant company. ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up I especially enjoyed the last 8 miles of the cruise as it was the bit I got there for. ;D ;D ;D would have been brilliant to be in the convoy for the full session but heading at full pelt past a stream of 20 or so buggies going the other way was a treat no one else got. :D :D :D.
Great job Hazel.
Cheers

This was my first proper cruise, despite owning my buggy for more than 30 years, thanks for the fantastic organisation by Hazel and I am sure many others, thanks for making me and Tiffany so welcome, she is actually asking me where are we going next, fantastic.
Thanks
Gary
What a fantastic weekend. Was our first cruise too and it was brilliant. Didn't speak to everyone but was good putting faces to some of the people on here that i didn't know. Great job by Hazel and co. ;-)up
Thanks everyone for a great weekend.
And as Lawson (the father) said, thanks to Snoop doggy dog and Shaggy for rescuing us after Dad's bad judgement.
Buggy running a lot better now... didnt even care it was raining on the way home ;-)up even with no roof and no waterproofs!
Sounds like it was another great NEWS weekend - photos look great.
Gutted we couldn't make it down this year - Louise's holidays / time off are a bit hit and miss at the moment with her work being short staffed :'(
Roll on next year

We all had a fantastic weekend, thank you to Hazel and Miller for organising the cruise and photo shoot. Also thanks to everyone for putting up with us!!
i have added some photos onto facebook as me and photo bucket don't get on!!
Haze would like to say thanks -
"A massive thanks goes out to all the buggers that made NEWS 2014 the success it was, obviously I couldn't have done it without you! Thanks to Miller for the support in the behind the scenes and thank you Chad for bring up the rear of the cruise collecting the lost sheep and keeping us all together along with Peter on the CBs, giving me an encouraging thumbs up every now and again.
Leading the 70 mile cruise wasn't as bad as I imagined and I was glad have been able to share the areas I had found, Bourton on the Water, Fish Hill, Broadway... Sally went as far to say it was the best cruise she had ever been on, and that'll stick in my mind when organising the next one.
Thanks goes to Alistair and all at 'The Gate Hangs High', the food and facilities were great, think I might have put on weight indulging in breakfast, curry as well as starters and puddings and Sky was a right beauty.
Thanks to those who bought stickers and Fran for his small donation, one of the tourists at the Tower even bought one and together we raised £35 for the Alzheimer's Society - not bad. (I do have some left if anyone is interested) and I'll add on the £4 people gave me to go up the Tower (Chad managed to blag our way up).
Oh and cheers for everyone's co-operation when we got to Broadway Tower, told you I had a good photo opportunity in store for you !
Until next time..."
