The Midlands Buggy Club now meets every first Thursday of the month.
THE RED LION, Junction of Lady Lane & Cleobury Lane, Earlswood, Solihull, West Midlands, B94 6AQ
The Red Lion is easily accessible from junction 3 or junction 4 of the M42.
There are now loads of folk in and around the greater Midlands and it would be good to see a few more folk turning up to see us - you don't have to be in a buggy, just come for a chat. In the MBC there are no monthly fees, no newsletter, no pressures to do this that and the other, just good chat and a beer of two with like minded folk.
The MBC has been going since January 1999 and still meet regularly.

Encouraged by the nice warm weather there was a great turn out again at our new home.

Paul turned up in his nice mark 1 Manta Ray. Last time I saw Paul was around 1996 (ish) at the old Birmingham Bug Club and he even bought along one of our old newsletters I drafted in 1995. Had forgotten about I had even done a 'Round the Bend' newsletter - great memories.
He has owned his Manta Ray for around 18 years but finished it and got it on the road last year. A really nice buggy with some great touches including an original old style beetle rev counter. Has a lovely covered hard roof, Opel manta rear lights and even a glove box. Really nice buggy.

As for the pub sign it was conformed with, your ride out in the Jas that turned into a cruise was out and back before closing time as was the home departure time.

Yes guys was honestly planning on driving up in the buggy tomorrow evening, (since that dodgy hairdresser won't let me drive his car to the meets any more!) ;D
It actually looks like a nice easy drive anyway since I'm only just south of MK. Anyway, I will still try to do it before the year s out (that only leaves October realistically!) sadly I have some major artwork to get to print by Friday.

A good evening turn out again 9 buggies a few buggy less and hopefully a new bugger.
lucky Allan had the foresight to fit his heated seat kit to keep Vanessa toastie on the way home as it had dropped off to pretty cool by going home time once the new top is done it will be speedo and bikini motoring in winter 8)
