I will be there usual time and place on the corner by the parade ring :)
Enjoyed meeting up with you guys last year and the endless quest for DaveDream and his wind wings!
Up for it again this year, though it does "potentially" clash with the Sunday cruise to goodwood breakfast.
As you might imagine the kit car show is a great place for alternative ideas for those buggy finishing touches - you know like crazy fuel filler caps :-[
yes indeed most useful ;D
It's one of the best shows for emptying your wallet :D
Did Dave ever get his wind wings?
I believe he sorted something out yes :)
I'll be there, hoping to be in the new new buggy but won't make any promises.
I will be there on the sunday as a free entry day out is always good and loads of stalls for the non vw buggy bits.

Hi Shaggy, shall we meet at the Malt shovel at Stonebridge?
thats as good a place as any... meet there between 8.30 and 8.45 to arrive at the show for 9.30 doors open time, how does that sound.
Is that the Toby Carvery?
If so thats where I normally meet up with George and Paddy too.
Don't know if they will be there that early though ;D But I'll ask.
:o To early for me ;D

It's a hard life being a student ;D now get off the forum and get revising! :P
As some of us are going to stoneleigh and some are going to stanford hall, as they are only 27ish miles apart is any one up for a meet up after the shows somewhere in the middle?
I'm surprised people aren't going to both ::)
So was I as Stanford is only on the Sunday and Stoneleigh is on both the Sunday and Monday. But it looks like the majority are shunning Stanford.

I did Stanford for many years, when I had a Splitty. It's great for the concourse stuff, and a very relaxing laid back day. Currently I'm more interested in getting ideas from the kit car world as it seems to have more to offer to buggy building, and I'm not currently looking for VW specific parts. So not shunning Stanford Hall, just looking for something different. ;)

Soooo, a meet after the shows somewhere?
As much as I would love to meet up after the show, I have to get back down to South Devon again afterwards, so I`m hoping to say Hi to everyone at Stoneleigh on Sunday during the day.

Which is a bit worrying since I really shouldn't be looking for any more ideas!

Hi all.
I won't be making Shaggys 8:30 meet at Stone bridge, but will be meeting up there at 9:15 with a few other later comers ;)
So if you miss the first wave, you can always meet up with the second wave.

what time is the second sortie leaving
As close to 9:15am as we can really. If I know whose coming we will wait but not past 9:30 at the latest.
Im very excited, but doesn't take much ;D
Well am still going..... But have hit a slight hitch!
Driving tonight and lost ALL electrical power - so yes, broken terminal on negative on battery. Of course it's furthest and hardest to get too. And a right royal pain. Anyway all I could do was temporary fix the broken ring terminal tight against the nut/bolt of the battery. So as long I don't drive over any speed humps too quickly, I might be all ok (fingers crossed!)
I was going to head up to Skeggy after the show and back home the next day, but now it's straight there and back to the show.
(That snags list is getting longer! Lol)
thats ok mate bring a few tools and we will fit a new set at the show easy peesy :)
Cheers shaggy, it may not be that simple, but at least I m at the right show to buy the parts!
surely its not that hard mate, we will have 6 or 7 blokes there that could probably fix it in the dark with gaffa tape and a bungi strap ;D
Yes, we'll have the body off and engine anf gearbox out before lunch. That should leave plenty of access to the battery. :D :D
Ahah, fear not, only kidding about the engine & gearbox. ;-)up
But shaggy, you are forgetting, even with the very able 6-7 blokes (and Hazel), we will be missing Peter! And we all know he is mr fixer! ;-)up

Andrew! Don't be so daft :-[ hopefully you will be able to find a new terminal/terminal's at the show, I use
some neat ones that take the 'eye' ended cable on an M8 stud, liking those because they don't
bugger up the main cable and can be released easily.
Have a great day :D :D :D
Peter
hoping the weathers as good tomorrow as its been today,
should see you all bright and early ;-)up
Hi Gatecrasha.
Most of us guys went today :(
There were 20 buggies there today, not sure how many are going tomorrow.
Chad
For those that went on Sunday - That was a cracking turnout, really good to see you all and especially to meet up and put some new names and faces to some of the Buggies seen on here.

Liz is happy also, as thats the first time we have returned from Stoneleigh with the same number of cars that we went up there with for a long time.

well I went, had a great time,
chatted away to a guy about buggies for about half an hour or so
most helpful and a good few pointers given to guide me on my way too,
his buggy wasn't the best (his opinion not mine lol) as t'was a daily driver
still looked good to me ;-)up
cracking mantaray turned up, real attention to detail type build
only downside to the show was missing out on meeting up with a few of you folks
oh well maybe next time ;)
Didn't you take any pics? :P
hardly any there today to be honest hazel,
6 or 7 at best
besides, outwardly I look extravert but im shy really ::)

Are you in or around the Midlands somewhere, if so come and have a cup of tea. a chat and a run out.
