Title: beaming over from the old site...
Post by: Sprint54 on June 22, 2013, 05:00:24 PM
Hi all,
thanks to Inigo & Andrew R for putting me on the right road to this site.
Firstly I love the El Presidente post.  More from him please... ;D

I binned deadpanretro in favour of Sprint54. That name was rubbish  ;D

For those that do not know me I have a mk1 short wheel base GP.  I hope to meet up with as many of you as I can
if we get a summer.
I have my Harpenden Common ticket ready, with a half day hol already booked in....

Adios for now
-Steve

Steve at last..... You made it! Sorry, I hadn't been in touch sooner about the site, for some reason thought you already knew about the new site at the time.

Great news is myself and Fran are finally back on the road so I reckon we need a local cruise soon (assuming Neil is has his clutch fixed!)

Right my friend, I reckon you have a lot of threads to catch up on!

;-)up ;-)up good to see you have arrived. As you will notice all the same names and few more on here so happy days........ ;D ;D I seem to recall you were looking into another buggy (or shell) was it a 'Manx' did this develop any further????

I snapped my clutch cable last weekend so off the road for a short while till I can get sorted, hopefully a week or two... :'(

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome.  I will post up some pictures soon, its been around locally for a while now. I have owned it for the last10 years. :o so I should have a picture by now...lol

Some time back now I was asking about whether a Manx shell would fit my GP floor pan, as this is still something I would like to do...
Just not quite ready to pull it apart yet

Well if the weather on this coming Thursday evening 27th is like it is here now, we could meet up
with the Dunstable Dubbers at the Horse & Jockey on the A5.
I'm sure they wont mind if a few local buggies turned up.  :)

Hi Steve, was thinking the same, not been for ages, so may well see you there. It's the house of dub meet in leighton buzzard tomorrow, so I will pop along to that one too.

But for the rest of you, Dunstable dubbers on the A5 is a nice little meet.

Agreed! Was hoping it might blow over, but clearly not, another time then.

Ps this was my drive to the house of dub meet last night, see what I meant about the canal tow path at the end?

Just on the north side of town (leighton Buzzard), I'm on the south.

Hahaha... The music was something added once it was on YouTube, it's a way of working with the copyright laws.

Nope was my smaller Nikon DSLR with a 10-20mm lens, which I carry to the shows etc now. With some now sturdy clamps on the roll bar. But having seen the results of a GoPro camera that Hunter has, then I would recommend that - they are really impressive!
