But Chris if you aren't in a buggy for then, dont worry its not the sort of show were its compulsory. I would offer a lift for you, but my plan has to be take it down there on the Friday afternoon preparation day and leave it there for the weekend.
So even if in the daily, come on down, it will be good to see you then anyway and you can meet up with a load of folks who cant always make it to your meets. :) :) :)

If you're displaying on the SDBC club stand you need to ask Hunter what time does he want you there (its very early methinks!).
so hunter if i am up and running what time shall i be there :-\
Saturday will be an early start as we need cars in position by 9. Gates open at 8am.
Sunday is the same story.
You will not be allowed to leave the show/club area until atleast 30 minutes after the last visitor has left.
Is anyone from 'up north' making the trip down?
Volksworld Show opening times to the public:
Saturday 23 March : 10.00am - 5.00pm
Sunday 24 March : 10.00am - 4.00pm (prizegiving 3pm).
Clocks do not go forward this weekend (its the following Easter bank hol weekend)

Couldn't you tow it? As I seem to remember... VolksWorld show cars are quite often towed.... ;D
Reminder if you're driving to the event, all the roads around Sandown Park become clogged with cars going to the event all day long - leave a little earlier but prepared to sit in a jam. I've learnt by past experience if you're in a daily driver to head towards the signposted camping parking area, as everyone heads for the main entrance to park.
Hi H, well buggy is coming along.... there is still a good fighting chance I will be there in it on Sunday. (but will be there on Saturday too in the Andre'mobile)

It was sub zero and very wet n cold, but a good time was had. The turn out was
unbelievable and the place was packed.
But not much fun outside....
It was a good day though, and many turned up on the stand.

None of my photos do any justice to any of the vehicles! I really enjoyed seeing the simplicity of some of the engine bays, and how they looked so pleasing without any bling. And the beach schene was great fun!
Got myself some Type 3 gauges and a load of t-shirts/hoodies for the pair of us :)

I attempted to take the buggy along to the show saturday morning at 6.45am but sadly the weather was too cold for it and I broke down on the way up. I have no heat risers off the exhaust so the manifold kept freezing and the engine was cutting out. The AA turned up after about an hour of waiting by the side of the m26, fortunately i had a flask of Tea to keep me warm. After a few attempts we got the engine running again, it was fine by the side of the road but after a few 100yds it just froze again. So i eventually got a tow home and set off again at 11.30 back to the show in my golf. It was a bit of a disappointment to have such rotten weather but it was worth going along to and it was really good to catch up with everyone :)
I managed to pick up an IMDU electric heated cover for the manifold at the show so fingers crossed ill not get the same problem if i ever get caught out in such cold conditions again, lets hope the sun comes out so i dont have to test it out anytime soon lol 8)
I think I might need one of those heated covers didn't know anyone had them at the show but my fault I guess as I didn't look ::) who did you buy it from as maybe can get online?
