After a very successful 2025 meet Annabelle is happy for us to return next year. Camp site booking can be made nearer the time but the Barn and other residential rooms will need booking at Common End Camp site Swinscoe.
The Dairy bungalow will also be done by then 2 x double bedrooms and a bunk bed room so sleeps 6, one bathroom, lounge, patio area and so on.
Please note 30C blue sky weather is not guaranteed.

An awesome weekend with good friends, but in reality, with 7 hours each way, its just a little too far for us for an overnighter irrespective of how much we enjoyed it -

Its a shame we cannot find an additional (and different each year) venue back around the centre of the Country like N.E.W.S. used to be - I really miss that one :'(

The reality is many camp sites will not accept groups these days we have tried to find alternative sites near main roads.
Even for us I go up wednesday to sunday to make it worth while as we take 2 vehicles and the caravan but well done to yourselves and Steve from Fowey for making the trip up may need a long distance and best buggy prize in 26.

The cruise was great Snoopy we will be there next year too may be in the Baja or some off road upgrade to the Buggy for the Green Lane Cruise 8)

I have booked with the site a grass pitch with 6amp EHU is £30 less the discount we get when applying for the beach buggy weekend other pitches are available. So please book your own we are up on Wednesday the 8th.
There are now more self contained rooms to book on the site.

There will be a group meal at the dog and partridge pub on friday night so numbers will be needed for that will reserve 26.
The cruise will include the dairy for ice creams and a reverse ride down the castle track as requested.

Just had a heads up from Annabel,

There is more accommodation available for folks who do not like camping or want a proper bed and facilities.
They have been offered to us early so need reserving asap before the release to jo public

Vanessa contacted me there us also a room spare in the barn as first choice so contact Vanessa or post on here

It dawned on me today, are you aware we have 2 smaller self catering properties now available here on site after refurbishment last year?

The Old Dairy sleeps 2 people – I think this has been booked today by someone from your group.

We also have Littlemoor Farm which sleeps up to 6 people in 3 bedrooms with 1 bathroom. If you have anyone who would usually stay off site and join you in the daytime, and would be interested in possibly renting this property, get them to message me direct and I can provide further details. We do have a website although its not fully functional yet – the website man is waiting for me to get some more information to him and at the moment I just don't have time eek.

Good news for ice cream addicts Tagg Lane will have us there Saturday morning so it will be an early stop on the cruise when I sort a route out which will include the castle gated road again but going down this time.

We have booked in parking up at The Manifold Inn on the cruise circa 1pm. This will be after we have stopped at Tag Lane Ice Cream Parlour and then cruised about so some will not be hungry having eaten a large ice cream...but if anyone can put below what they'd like to eat at The Manifold Inn that would be helpful. If you do then it will help the venue prepare and efficiently cater for us arriving as a block when they are serving other members of the public. If you don't and want to order on the day that's fine except you'll likely be irritated to find a sizeable bunch of pre booked beach buggy drivers ahead of you for service ! If you know anyone going who isn't on the Forum then please tell them about this pre booking. Thanks.

The saturday cruise route as off the map and google earth, will test it thursday on a live run. i have about 25 printed copies done to hand out.

A good weekend was had by all who attended and a 2027 repeat is being booked.
24 buggies on the saturday cruise

We decided on a prize for the camp site owners selection of the buggy I would like to take home and Vicky won so the prize is now back home.
Only one problem for me was setting timing on a freshly built 1914 motor seized solid whilst revving to 2k setting the timing it seized solid on the crank and the timing is still out at 3 degrees retarded with the 009.

Sounds like the engine seizing is a first for you Snoopy even though clearly not your fault.

Hard to argue with the best buggy prize despite some strong competition.

The cruise orchestrated by Keith & Vicky was a delicious trundle around many shaded roads followed by barren rocky valleys and some open straight runs with the buggys stretching as far as the eye could see. Decent food at the Manifold Inn followed by icer cream melting as fast as it was eaten at Tagg Lane Dairy. Thanks both.

On a gated road Vicky assummed the stance of a tank commander to speed up getting in and out for 4 closed gates.

Thanks for organising the Manifold Inn Hugh have sent them a e mail thanking them for looking after us so well and planting the seed of a 2027 visit.
Annabel has booked us in for the 10th 11th July 2027 already

Hi Dave no copies left but out of Mayfield on the Alton road nearly into lightwood but 3rd right past Alton, over crossroads then a right and left towards Kingsley halt a right to Froghall over railway and left Ipstones over crossroads past Onecote then right to Grindon a left on bend to Grindon down Manifold valley over bridge a right to Milldale then left on 515 the. Left to Harlington a right on bend pass long dale a left at crossroads to Pilsbury castle and down the gated track to Harlington. Right to manifold inn [ good food] out to Tagg kane dairy for ice cream then back to camp
