I have a full 4x130 drum brake set up for sale due to swapping to discs.
Comes with backing plates, wheel cylinders, shoes all fitted as taken off the car.
Rear will include hand brake cables
I have a complete set of quality wheel cylinders new in the boxes to go with it.
One rear has had a oil seal leak on it so shoes no good but all the rest are only about 2000 miles old so basically as new. I think i have a new set of shoes so if i can find them i'll include these too.
Looking for £125 the lot, can post but its heavy so don't think a fiver will cover it!

Grab a bargain while you can.... 4 drum brakes are just as efficient in braking as 4 discs.... I have had this proved to me.
Would you be open to selling the brake cylinders separately and posting ?

Agree just couldn't be bothered to keep checking them and adjusting them ;D
Braking is about the same but travelling through water makes drum brakes very iffy on deceleration and sudden direction changes as they dry out the biggest down side with discs is brake dust on the wheels and the fact some wheels foul the calipers.
I always thought my drums were just as good as discs until I upgraded the engine to a 1776 and did a very long down hill in Derbyshire which required some serious braking. The fade became quite significant as did the smell from the brakes. It was quite a squeaky bum experience ;D ;D
I put discs on the front and did the same road with no issues at all.
That convinced me that discs were a good idea for me (I live in Derbyshire and there are many big hills near my home) even though I used to pride myself on how balanced I could get the drums (proven at MOT time).

The best brakes in the world are only as good as the tyre grip on the road for maximum stopping performance so newish soft winter tyres are a good upgrade.

A set on the front of mine transformed the handling
I remember my first car, a 105e, heading up a slip road from the newly opened M40 and brakes disappeared completely half way up with a lot of speed still to lose. Lucky it was uphill not down and the roundabout was clear. A set of Classic discs and a Lotus Cortina back axle solved that.
