Title: Dry flake spraying
Post by: mk4buggy on April 26, 2021, 12:11:57 PM
I'm going to dry flake a trailer, I have the correct gun, and I'm going to hire a  compressor, does it matter what size compressor I get.

Compressors are measured in CFM (cubic feet per minute)

Normally your spray gun will have that as a reading.

For the Flake King 1050

This particular gun requires a normal size compressor to run and the minimum specification that we recommend would be a 2 CFM and 3 psi up to 20 psi.

You will also need to look at the spec of your gun you are using to spray your lacquer.

Cheers Gordon, that clears it up, I thought I could get away with a 2.5 cfm compressor, didn't fancy lugging a large compressor home
