Guys I live on fuerteventura and finding parts here is as good as impossible. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the UK that has online access?
Thanks Gary
Kingfisher kustoms shop all over the place and are getting their online stuff updated guess firms like VW heritage (they have a buggy section) would ship as well or you could try the German, Dutch or Belgian firms as they are still EU so tax free.
Sadly, UK is not the place to look for online stuff at the moment, virtually all the traders I know have suspended international shipping until we can fathom out the new customs procedures - with most of HMRC working from home without phone support, I doubt this will be anytime soon, so suggest to look at EU suppliers in the interim
:'(
Just to add most shiney bits are of abysmal quality; ill fitting and quick to rust. Depending on what you want I'd suggest getting your current parts painted or powder coated 'chrome'.
A black engine with a few chrome highlights can look very impressive.
Currently waiting for a package from Germany. Several hundreds of pounds at stake. Tracking number shows item collected from supplier. Shipped from town of supply to town of transit and thats where the trail remains with no further update. Queries this side of the Channel have resulted in being told that many items currently "on hold" within UK customs "Bonded" areas regardless as wether they are tobacco, pink diesel or whatever. :'( :'(
What shop was that and do you have the website please.
Gary
Gary If you are asking me......CSP (Custom Speed Shop). Germany and they are relatively expensive..
website.. https://www.csp-shop.com/en/
Hope all is well in your part of the world... P.
Paul, thanks for the link. I have contacted them and hopefully get what I need. Things here are pretty good, pubs and restaurants are open but no tourists. So most are closed, still warm in shorts and T shirts.
Gary.... Forgot about these guys... Genuine VW and lots of stuff ex brazil. They are very helpfull ... P.

Paul thanks, any idea what this small lever does next to the hand brake?

Think that operates the flapinbthe hear exchanger on a beetle exhaust to control the heating. Would have been a 2nd one the other side. Not needed in a buggy
Doon is correct.... ;-)up ;-)up It`s rare to see a beach buggy with heat exchanger/s in place although I have seen them on a long wheel base buggy before. Also seen one used as a manual choke ;D
I quite like the idea of using one as a manual choke ;-)up :)
Old Fiat 500s had similar levers, one for choke and one for a hand throttle. ;-)up
I had one rigged up for a choke when I ran a Nikki carb a few decades ago.
used as a choke on the kango as well, nice and safe as lady drivers cannot hang a handbag on this type ;D ;D

Vicki won't be happy with you and on Valentine's Day as well
Sorry I have not updated you on my buggy progress. Having taken your advice I am still waiting for parts, maƱana is big here. Got her stripped and waiting for a welding friend to do some small repairs. 🤔👍
