Title: Blackrock Sands 28th June and 3rd Sept

A chance to get sand on your tyres.

Self catering caravans at Haven Green Acres site near Portmadog https://www.haven.com/parks/north-wales/greenacres/ an upgraded caravan is £196.70 for 3 nights and sleeps 6 so £65.56 a couple.

Mon 28th June until Friday and then Fri 3rd sept to Monday. 
Paul (Leebow) and Jenny Bowater are the brains behind it.
A Whats app chat will be started closer to the dates for organising meets on route and other stuff.

Thanks for that Keith more the merrier for both dates,all you do is go on to the haven holidays site search for green acres site and go through the booking procedure,we do have a good time visiting different places and playing on the beach 😀👍

Yes Dave the social distancing, in public, is impressively correct.

However, I await sight of leaked CCTV or non official photos to determine if anything improper - like swapping of buggy body parts - has occurred.

Run out today to Llandudno and round Great Orme. Fabulous roads with hairpin bends and Greek weather to match.

Add image didn't work, will add some when I get home and have decent internet

Then on to Bangor, a hidden gem this that most people probably fly past going to Carnarvon or Llandudno. Parked by the pier and had a nice stroll to the end out in the Menai Straits.

Back to the site through the Snowdonia National Park, a drive on the beach then fish and chips and a few beers together by one of the vans. The onsite restaurant which was at best ok last year has really tumbled in quality.

Tomorrow Harlech, one of our team has been raving about the castle, then on to Barmouth

Sounds, and I am confident is, a blast of fun you are all having.

Harlech has a small road that used to be the steepest in the world - Ffordd Pen Llech - so you could test your hand brake starts although the locals probably don't like the attention given old Harlech has a narrow hilly centre.

Back in the late 70's you could do a fair bit of Harlech to Barmouth on the beach. Bent a track rod there not realising how deep a water channel across the beach was when having fun.

No photos Hugh but scrubbed the tyres well getting back home. There are stream running across the beach to the sea but nearer the land side some are in quite deep channels you do not notice until you land in the stream. Best have a look September.

Well it's less than 2 weeks away. Keith has set up a WhatsApp group for the MBC, If someone wants to so that for the northern crowd please put me in as well. Makes sense to have 2 separate groups due to numbers and as I'm sitting in the middle I'll liaise between the 2 re meet up points etc

Met some really nice helpful locals who let DM and myself rummage through their workshop for 5/16 AF nuts. Had some epic scenery and enjoyable roads. Will put more on FB BBI as all code 0 from postimage on here.

Been home a couple of hours. Boy does sheep sh*t stick or what (to the car for those with filthy minds)

Two Dyson loads of sand vacuumed out and arranged to take my carb bodies to my local garage tomorrow and borrow their airline.

Cracking weekend, met some lovely people and one looney woman in a Scirocco
