I came across a vinyl roof on ebay for a lwb and he says it is for an FF buggy but will fit all lwb buggys, is this true, would this fit a californian??
Dave
1 buggy hood will not fit another buggy, has he used the same fittings in the same place?is your roll bar the same height?i don't think so.buying used hoods can be a huge saving but can cause a whole heap of problems, and anyway a ff uses an alloy screen and a Californian has a grp screen surround
Cheers buggypete, you have confirmed exactly what i was thinking but i thought i was missing something. I am in the process of getting all the stuff i need from woolies for my wife to make one as shes spot on with the old singer, not sure if i have mentioned it to her yet tho ;D. I just wanted something to cover my buggy with for the time being so i dont have to keep putting it in the garage coz its a real pain in the nether regions to get it in and out, ive only got 3" either side up my drive. ;-)up
Hi mate,
If its the one with an 8 ball logo on the roof it belongs to buggysteve off here.
I sold it to him with the body shell.
Hope that helps
Keith
Yes it has got an 8 ball on it.

I hope you're not the jealous type, but quite a few blokes on here could end up asking for your wife's phone no. ;D
the fibre fab and californian sides are vastly different so it may fit front and rear only.
I sold it about a month ago Keith. The guy obviously found that it didn't fit his buggy
Steve
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Oldbugger, lets see what mine turns out like before i offer her services :o, she doesnt seem to see the love for it now that i have mentioned it to her tonight but she soon will when i take her out in the rain. ;D She found it highly amusing when she followed me last year in the T4 and i got caught in a thunderstorm and drenched in exactly 8 seconds. What goes around comes around. ;)
I've got a spare soft top that came with my LWB. GP.
Your welcome to have a play with it, try it, use it, until you've got yourself sorted - send it back down when you're done.
Thanks so much for the offer, not wanting to sound cheeky but does it have side doors as these are what i am most interested in working out, fitting wise.
I can't believe the offer tho :o what great people on here. ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up
I'll dust it of and take a couple pics for you - honestly can't remember if there are doors or not :-[
Have you seen the price it's making :D :D :D :o
£313?????? my god!!!!! he did well on that.

I bet folks will be digging the old ones out of the shed now, getting that much must have been a surprise.
The bizarre way of eBay. The seller bought it off me for £77 a couple of weeks earlier on bids.
I only listed it because I didn't need it and saw one go for £230 :o :o
Apologies for the delay, packed it away and couldn't find it ::)
(you'd need to see the state of my place to see how easily that can happen ;D)
It's not the best made peice of kit, and one of the rear clear windows has split but its got doors and the zips work.
You can have it if you want it, really don't need it back. May be a good starting point for a template if you chop it about and the zips are decent.
It's also got a rear support hoop but I very much doubt it'll be cost effective to post that.

If you don't hear back from the op. Is there any chance I could have it as a template to make a roof for my gp. Will send you the postage and some beer tokens.
Steve
Hi Jim, thanks for all your hassle but i think i am sorted now, my wife took all the measurements she needs yesterday and i am picking the twillfast up from stoneleigh next weekend, so here's hoping i'll be dry this summer, you watch we will have a 1976 heatwave summer now :o.
