For the Newbies coming to Stoneleigh . .

If you have never been before, it is Europe's, if not the World's largest Kit Car show. There are lots of big indoor halls with Manufacturers showing off the latest Kits, Trade stands with parts and a huge showground filled with just about every kit car club you can imagine.

As far as the Buggies go, we have a large display area where a few years back, managed to get 108 of us together breaking all UK records, and I have booked enough camping space that no matter how many turn up, we will find you somewhere to park and pitch up with us. Everybody is welcome.

The show is Officially Sunday / Monday, but they do allow us in from mid day on Saturday for setting up. For those coming over on Saturday, Vanessa has organised a tea time cruise to a Fish & Chip restaurant, so make sure you get your name down on it by following this link so she can book spaces. If last year was anything to go by, its an awesome place that should not be missed.

For those of you coming over on Saturday, Vanessa is arranging a cruise to the Chip Shop like we did last year - we need numbers asap so we can book for bums on seats - awesome little cruise and really good chips !!

Everybody welcome  ;-)up

I can't remember if it's OK to pay on the gate (think I did last year) or whether you have to book in advance? Planning to arrive Sat early pm.

You can pay on the gate for this one, and I have already booked enough space for everyone to be on the club stand, and a huge camping area for us all.

Everybody and anybody is welcome to this one, and camping is also open to those without Buggies too  ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up

No idea what number they have given it this year but usually Area 7 at the back of the site.

Drive past our display area and turn left towards the "Lodge" which is their B&B area around the back, and as you drive past the lodge car park on your left, and then past the toilet block on your left, the site opens up into a large area to the right, and you will see some Buggies ahead of you on the right. If bringing trailers, please leave them in the centre of this area so we can get everyone in.

Have a great time, looks like you wont be freezing in the tents like some years.

Pity me, spent the day cleaning the house for photos as trying to sell  :(

One tip, dont buy  the drill sets from the great big tool stall in the main gallery (Mark - Zip Buggy knows who I mean) as you will struggle to find metal soft enough for them to get through.

Hi guys ( and ladies).....

Me and a friend are also coming to Stoneleigh .
We planned to go by camper but today when i picked it up, i've noticed there was a faillure with the brakes......
So we have to change our plans and will come by car.
This means we will be limited by lugage....
This also means we won't be able to bring a bbq, chair etc with us.
So, I know there is always a bigger BBQ at the 'camp' of the VW buggies... Can we abuse some space, so we don't have to eat raw meat   :D ?
If someone has got some extra ( 2) outdoor chairs..also nice.....
We will also be limited with some Begian beer ( cooling will also be a problem...) but I'll do my best...
See you all saterday/sunday.

Grtz Erwin

Erwin,

Of course we can find you some space on the BBQ - no problems - but we will be lighting that one on Sunday night.

On Saturday tea we are going to a Fish and Chip shop, and I am sure that we can find some space and a spare seat in the Buggies for you and your friend to come and join us if you want to - nobody gets left behind !!

It will be good to see you again   ;-)up

No I won't be getting there this year trying to sell the house so loads to-do. Will only do local runs this year until we have moved.

Hope everyone has a great time over the weekend. It's will be the first one I've missed in about 8 years.
I have a good excuse though as I'm now a new dad to a 5 day old little boy called Oliver (Ollie).
Might bring him to the Evesham show at the end of the month if the weathers good so all the MBC can meet its new member

Nearly 50 buggies today and no two alike...

But hopefully someone with a decent camera will post some highlights.

The Allan and Vanessa cruise to the chippy was perfect in the evening light and we all got in the car park in various clusters:

Service was efficient and noise levels of buggists was high until they got their food. Jools was keen to have a few of slices of bread to supplement his fish & chips:

Wow !

What can I say - Just got home from an awesome weekend that saw 54 Buggies on the stand at its peak, Lots came and went, so I couldn`t say how many different ones we had in total. Thank you to everyone that made the effort.

So great to see everyone - Big Thanks to Vanessa for organizing teh chippie run, Mahoosive thanks to Jazzy and Snowy for feeding the entire site with their awesome Bar-B-Que - and huge respect to Aaron and Roisin for driving down from Scotland just for a day trip !!

And if the weekend couldn`t get any better, I have just heard news that Chimp and Kat are proud parents of the latest member of the Buggy family !!

Erwin,

It was our pleasure my friend - really good to see you again.

How can we get some more of the Belgium Buggy Guys to come over next year?

It was good to meet Erwin and choosing between a ride to the fish & chip restaurant and the Augustijn I think maybe I got the better half of the deal.

Event of the year for me. Made brilliant by the amazing BBQ put on by Jazzy & Snowy with Gordon's huge party tent. Loved Jazzy's Glawning on Friday night too - a log fire in a tent! :D
One brilliant revelation was Lee's blues harp playing. What a pro @lee74 ! Wish we could have heard more.
