Trying to sort out picture posting

The body was in a bit of a state, I gave up counting but it was somewhere around 12 coats of paint removed and a couple of dings to fix :'(
The last owner said something about it being used in a Cadbury advert years ago so the purple paint maybe something to do with that?

Had to bite the bullet with the bonnet and buy a new one :'(

Getting there final bits of filling, not painted for a few years so needing the practice

Looks like you've done a lot of graf there - well done.

Nice to see the orange coming off and it does look the Cadbury colour in places - although more 'regurgitated' in these photos !

I recall a buggy being sold on ebay a few years ago with a reference to Cadbury advertising. Would be great for you to get an image of it when on the advert.

I've googled it but nothing comes up in the searches that could relate to this buggy, it was imported from Ireland a few years ago.

Pretty stunning.

Re Cadbury and beach buggys I see they are offering a ride in 'a dune buggy in Marrakech'.

But yours would have been involved a long time before this current ad campaign.

But here's are some Coke ones:

Looking good but that hole that's been cut in the tunnel by the pedals could do with plating as it will really weaken it. You can get away with things like that on a full bodied Beetle but once the Beetle body's removed the chassis relies on the tunnel for most of its torsional strength. ;-)up

The last owner had hacked the tunnel there so we cut out the crap and replaced it with a 3 mm plate bent to shape with the access hole, I'll get a plate made up to cover and stiffen the area  ;-)up

A round hole with strengthening plate welded around will probably be fine. The cracks propogate from the corners where the hacking stops.
