Hi guys, you may have noticed quite a big difference with my details, links and banners.

I want to let you all know, this is a GOOD thing! Last year A-Plan Insurance purchased Cherished Vehicle Insurance, we have taken on the business here in our Thatcham office.

All this means for you is that we have access to more schemes, so better premiums and we have a central telephone number so you won't get lost in the branch network system.

Nothing else changes, for the last few months all of our paperwork has been dual branded and that will continue.

We are still the same team, still the same office, still the same relationship with the club!

Just bought some insurance off these lot hassle free on the phone for 20 minutes as compared to Lancaster telling me they couldn't insure me or it would be a kit car insurance wanted something like £500 as can imagine in this heat 45 minutes in this heat and being on hold I was not impressed. Lovely lass on the other end of the phone as well.

got to say James did a good job after a £304 renewal quote for the Tiguan and me bouncing back a big saving from another provider he sorted out £198.33 fully comp with courtesy car, protected no claims with no voluntary excess and 11000 miles a year  so I renewed with them. 

Only thing I missed was the CLW1117 prize draw entry as I came here after the event but still I am £106 better off so no complaint.

This has to be one of the highest return on marketing spends ever! These guys now have my Sandrail, both dailys and now my house insurance ;-)up

I have been trying to find somewhere that could enable me to have one insurance policy
for both my cars, my Manx and my 1972 Beetle, I can only drive one or the other

I just put the new Saab daily with them, I was going to get a competitive quote at a specialist to check, but A-Plan spoil you by not only having a human pick up the phone when you call them but one that can actually help you.

Please note as well that it is not necessary for you to have to go uncovered during this time... if you plan to hold off renewal and go through the process of SORNing your vehicle because you don't plan on using it then please consider Laid-Up cover!
Laid-Up cover means you will still be covered for Accidental Damage, Fire and Theft (no road risk) and it is a low-cost insurance option that we have access to with a few of our insurers.

Well I have had my buggy insurance with T R Youngs for a number of years but these have now been taken over by A-Plan. A big thanks to Lisa Fisher, who swaped my two polices over for me. Great friendly, helpfull and knowledgeable service  ;-)up ;-)up ;-)up

Easter Eggs in Tesco`s now,,,, :-[ :-[

Great to see you guys and gals at Malvern and thanks for the gift Lynn and I are really enjoying it

I would like to give a HUGE thanks to Henry and Carlie, (and their team) who made everyone feel so welcome at the Malvern Kit Car Show with their amazing hospitality and friendliness. Unlike most Insurance Companies that just want your money, these guys really do go the extra distance. Sure, they had a job to do with people queueing up for quotes and stuff, but at every turn we were being offered tea's and Coffee's and even full access to their Beer fridge, which made me chuckle no end as I can now say I have been encouraged to drink and drive by my Insurance provider. Henry even shouted across to me that he had a Bacon Butty there if I wanted one when setting up my car first thing in the morning. They came over for a chat with us in the evening where Carlie made a new best friend, Frank, who was enjoying her cuddles and attention no end. Their Hospitality is just amazing and almost made me feel a little guilty when we nicked their display pitch on the Sunday as it was much bigger that the area we had been given ourselves on the previous day.

Great to catch up guys - hope the show was as good for you as it was for us   ;-)(-;

Nearly completed my 1st year with them and clocked a massive 102 miles!!!!! ;D ;D ;D

Up for renewal in 3 weeks.....

102 miles is still use and more than many do, met a gent with a Nova he has had since the early 80's it had very few miles on it thinking like 1000 miles

Met someone at a show built his GP early 60s Les than 3000 miles since. I do that most years

Says he rarely used it because it won't start after being stood idle all winter, wonder why.

Each to their own but if I drastically reduced mileage I'd avoid numerous break downs/ fixes and save £ and reduce periodic stress.

Yet despite in the last week replacing front shocks, 2 bits of cracked fuel line and a new clutch cable I actually feel better afterwards than before Ie I'm back to 2 functioning buggys and the ability to go out on a whim.

We've been part of Howden Broking Group a good 2 years already :) with all the providers in the group, we all become Howden eventually (Aston  Lark, Cherished Vehicle Insurance, RH, Allstyles) meaning we should have a lot more to offer to members in terms of insurance types and scheme benefits... we're really excited in specialist vehicle :D

Renewed my buggy insurance with Leila at Howden today. Just want to give a big ;-)up as only a few quid more than last year.

Sadly, yet again, Howden disappointed me this year.  I spoke to them at the Kit Car show (last year) and was assured they would beat my current company.  When it came to renewal I gave them all the details including the name of the broker and they could not beat Flux.  The quote from Howden was with the same insurer as well.    I know some people dont like Flux , but they have always been ok for me and when its exactly insurer I think Flux must be getting better volume discount. 

Just my personal experience and not disrespecting Howden.

That's a shame to hear  :'( as much as we'd love to... we can't win them all. Always worth trying at each renewal though
