Title: My buggy - Retro Storm LWB

well ill try to tell you about my buggy im not very good with a keyboard but here we go
its a 1972 beatle chassis and the engine it is  well it was a 1500 is now a1700 i put all new pistons and cylinders and off coures twincarbs the paint is metalic blue with a hand full of stars thrown in.hope your not to bored well any way here some pics to tell the storry from start to now

I painted a pair of headlights that colour for fibrecraft. I'm guessing they're yours? Small world ah?  :D ;-)up

just have a look at the pics of other buggys steve and you will see where everyone mounts the coil out of the way ,plus you dont wanna spoil the look do you mate as its lovely  ;-)up

Plus the fact it's facing upwards, soon as it rains & water gets inside it you'll come to a grinding hauls!!!!! That's why they're hidden away from the weather  ::)

Mines mounted on rear of fan housing with riv nuts bit of a fiddle but out of the way ;-)up

I think a set of round reflectors would help the symmetry of the rear lights or put a pair down by the engine/ cage

i took avantage of the good weather got the fuel cap and sender unit fitted and finaly got round to bolting in the speedo

Looking very good in the sunshine 8)

Have you got an earth wire running from your fuel sender?  I guess you probably have, but it doesn't look like it from the photos.

Just one comment well 2 i guess I would personally change the fuse box to a blade type they are a lot more reliable and do not suffer from bad fuse connections, and secondly being 12v it does not need to be 100 sealed and water proof and any box  is  better with a drain hole so it breaths and does not fill with moisture.

the box was at hand at the time ive put holes in the bottom

Well not much to report but here it is just finnishing of he electrics and and doing the brake fluid and bleeding them so yea slowly but surely geting there
