Hazel.
We have been trying to make our footprint at campsites a bit smaller at these types of meetings due to the amount of people that are now going. With that we have gone and bought two small tents for us rather than our massive inflatable one that we have used in the past which takes up too much ground space. So having 2 tents is that going to mean I need to book 2 pitches?

It's a difficult one. I guess I should tell you to pay for each pitch separately as Farmer Rob and Co do a similar thing and they've always paid per pitch. Everyones pitch size is different though, some people have massive tents other have tiny little ones. In coming pm...

Most site allow for a caravan, awning and space to park the car with room to move around on one pitch so a fair size area.

Can't believe this is less than a month away now and I've not given the cruise in this area much of a thought yet. Is there anywhere "local" worth a visit and a photo-stop? I'm thinking a trip to Symonds Yat like the last time is a good way to head as well ;-)up thoughts?

Remember this time when visiting the forest of dean you buy a car park ticket you can use in all the carparks so multiple stops do not accrue extra cost.
There is the forest info center and a railway down there. The you can deafen Ross on wye again visiting the super market. Will be nother 70 miles one to symonds yat.

I would suggest the cruise/stops we did a few years ago would be just fine. Symonds Vat was a good lunch stop and for sure we need to drive through Ross on Wye again! I think mileage was just right then, not too on the long side as some have thought from more recent years.

As long as I don't crash it and its not broken, will bring the drone along for some footage, where appropriate to fly.

I can see the headlines now 'Peregrine Falcon downs drone at Symonds Yat' with the strap line 'Bedfordshire hairdresser distraught'.
:D

Now the serious stuff for Hael I think the fitst stop was Caryerspiece picnic area on the  A4138 then onto Coleford a right turn on B4432 up to Symonds rock then the little b road to old forge and goodrich castle and theB4234 into the back of Ross then A40 towards gloucester or the m50 to J2 back to the pub.

Parking ticket from forestry comission covers us for all the carparks so no multiple ticket buying.( well it did and assume it still does)
