Hi

I am interested in doing both from Edinburgh so will be looking for somewhere to stay if I do

Alan

Alan

So depends how much comfort you want.   You are welcome to say at my house but we now will have no spare beds (Mrs and Mrs Shaggy and Dave Dream now staying) but always room if you dont mind crashing out in the living room or putting up a tent in the garden.  There are quite a few hotels around the Tatton Park / Knutsford area  http://www.vwnw.co.uk/find-us/  but they tend to get booked up quickly as VWNW is a big show.   Last year we also found a few AirB&B places in Hadfield (which is only a few mins away from me - so you could always park at my house as I have enough room for secure parking of a few buggies) but again they get booked up as I live in a walking / cycling area on the start of the Pennines  (we are about 45 mins to an hour away from Tatton so a nice run in in the morning and we have some spectacular runs that we can do after RMCH in the evening).

Let me know your preference and I am sure we will get you sorted.

Hugh - Great to see you can make it.  If you want to stay at my house you can though we are out of beds now so it will be a floor space.   And Tatton - I will email them to see if we can get you a space ... if not just enter the show and you will get in that way and we can always get you onto the club area

Thanks.

I got the last room where Allan & co are staying but don't fancy the street parking.

Would love to be added to the Sat evening meal at The Bull (?) that Allan said you were kindly booking.

I'll be delighted if I can get an official space at Tatton alongside the 15 of you, but if not I might adopt your strategy.

Top man Krug.

Having safe over night parking means a lot and of course socialising at the Bull is a bonus.

Happy to follow a plan 'B', 'C' or 'D' for that matter.

Allan is under the impression we are 5 minutes walk from yours and I know he's looking forward to the hot tub in his room so we may have to give him extra time in the morning !

Sorry for the delay - someone told me that the place I told you about had stopped camping and they were right as I went up to check www.peakdistrict-hotel.co.uk  - So that place is out.

Crowden now has also changed and its just a youth centre.

There is a camp site at Crowden http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/campsites/uk/glossop/crowden/crowden?gclid=CPDDpvePs9QCFW4A0wod9RoDyA  This is the one that is quite strict about noise.  I am told its very good and has good clean facilities.  Its about 15 min from me.

The place I could not remember - the Old House but again it looks like they have stopped camping http://www.oldhouse.torside.co.uk/

To be honest we get a lot of rain up here and I think that is the reason why camping is not that popular.  I am in the pub later as there is a birthday party so I will ask the locals if there are any places that I may not know about.

It 5 min in a car and about 20 mins walk.   Thats why I will pick you up in the morning in my daily if you park at my house.   Its cheap for a Cab from the pub to Hadfiled and thats how we will get you back

Hi everyone

Just to let you know things are progressing.

RMCH

Risk assessment has been updated today.  We will have to re-instate the HOT and Cold areas again this year.   One slightly less inspiring news is there is now a 10mph max speed limit on all the hospital grounds.  This is now strictly enforced.   So we will have to adhere to this and sadly no exceptions even if the kids want to go faster.   If we breach this, we potentially put future events at risk and very importantly it would create a nightmare for the Charity team.

Soon as we are passed this I will give you more updates.

Tatton

Confirmation of club stand has been sent.  I have requested more spaces and again will update you.   This year they area having a theme of "Space" - so if anyone wants to come up with a stand theme / idea around space ..... go for it ..... alternatively we turn up and just fill the space :)
