Had a couple of gallons of fuel standing in the tank for seven months before I found a tiny leak, the weeping fuel was quite thick and brown on my finger, drained it off and fixed the leak ( I hope) going to fuel her up and see if she runs , I wondered if the old fuel will have gummed up in the carb, should I get some carb cleaner spray  or a shot of redex prior to starting the engine or will the fresh fuel be sufficient ? Thanks all👍

If you have under seal or paint on the tank it could be that softened by the fuel discolouring the petrol as for the rest until you try running it you never know. The carb will be dry from  standing that long but you could drain the old fuel out to see what it looks like then put fresh in to start it then if the old stuff looks OK add some to use it up diluted.
