I spect it is Beelzedub, I had visions of a removable side panel on the silencer itself, but probably am just
letting my imagination take over.... ::)

It all looks great what you are doing, brilliant in fact, when I can I will be in for one of these too...

Dan dropped off his sidewinder exhaust for me to jig for this group buy, and it has brought to my attention some very small issues.

in the past i have built 2 systems that were based on the sidewinder ,but with different configurations after the collector.

Due the the bend radii used on my exhaust they don't quite match (a couple of mm difference) the Bruce Mayers radii, this has an effect on the looks so i thought i would ask you guys your opinions before making these.

this is one of mine forget the pipe the leads from the collector to the silencer the rest is the same layout as a sidewinder except the 2 primaries that go into the top of the collector have swapped around, is may have been an error or it might have been due to the tuned lengths.

also the biggest concern of mine is, as mention before the bend radius that i use is slightly tighter so this has made a gap between the pipe that runs from the o/s j-tube and thge pipes that exit from the rear 2 ports.

i have spoken to Dan (child of the 70's) and he is not fussed and actually said that the gap would help him clean it as the Bruce Mayers one touches and chaffs and cannot be cleaned.

i have also noticed that on Bruce's one's the silencer and collector not only point down, but also point slightly back in towards the wheel.

Would you want yours the same or the lines straightened slightly.

It's up to you guys and it's what you all want. i will say this though i will go with the majority vote on this.

thanks Mike.

I really want an exact copy to be honest. I would probably still have one but the real appeal to me was getting the exact look but in a stainless finish.

i just tried to ring you Matt, i can close the gap slightly and swap the other pipes around if really won't be that different. i just wanted to bring it to your attention.

I'm with you mike. I see the slight difference. But if you didn't have a photo of each side by side I doubt you would notice.
As I said with the pipes touching it does make it a bugger to clean and they do chaff and mark each other.
Think the silencer will need to tuck in towards the wheel as in the original. Purely so it doesn't stick out to far from the rear of the car.

So for me .....
I don't mind the gap.
But I would still like the silencer going towards the wheel.
And I think they should enter the collector the same as Bruce, as I think that's a smoother line to follow when you look at the rear.

( but I know nothing about anything)
