Hi Everyone , I'm selling one of the Corvair engines i have .

Its a 1960/1961 , 140 cubic inch , 80 hp motor . I believe it was destined to go in a plane as the heads have been modified for twin spark plugs , I planned to blank one of the holes and run it as a normal single plug engine .
I was told it was rebuilt a few years back and never run . I have had one of the heads  off , and the barrels and pistons certainly look new , and I have had the cover off the top of the crank case and again it all looks new/rebuilt . I have pretty much everything to get it running , the carbs will need a rebuild , and the outside of the engine will need a clean .
This is the early , lower horse power engine , but still very torquey , and will sound great . You will need an adaptor kit to fit it to a VW gearbox , but they seem to be quite easy to get .

Any questions , give me a call , and I can email some poor quality photos if you want them . 07789961904 . Cheers , Rob

If anyone does choose to buy this (and its a decent looking engine, I've seen it... And a Corvair engine in a buggy is just bloody ace) then I've a few spares kicking about (mainly tinwear) but also a fair bit of knowledge about them...

Rob's a top guy too....who you doing for an engine now then Rob?

Thanks Ben !

Engine is now sold .

I bought back the 140 cu motor I sold first . rebuilding that now got 4carb heads , 4barrel inlet manifold , Ali flywheel , performance cam . sticking with standard rotation . should go well .

Cheers rob
