What are people using to do this. After a decent run mine are twisted 90 degrees from where they should be..

I used a spring washer under the flat washer and a good squirt of Loctite, haven't moved since ;-)up

Mine currently have a serrated edge washer, but there's nothing for the washer to sit flat against, s its not a great connection. Really looks like some tapered washer is what's required...

The problem is, as the light fitting comes down thru the bodywork, there isn't much room to get a flat washer to sit underside on the fibreglass before the nut goes up to tighten the whole assembly, the tapered washer will work, or perhaps a spacer, but saying that, it's all got to be tight against the fibreglass, keep playing ,have fun, no swearing, cos I know access could be better ;)

I use a thick rubber 'washer' under the body, pulls up tight and 'grips' the grp.

I made a spacer from aluminium. Drilled, chamfered and rounded off to fit in side recess, and some large washers under the lamps bell bottom mounting to lift it slightly, as mine caught the wing edge and didn't fit.
I'm in my buggy,
It's raining,
I really don't care.

Its a real issue I think, and I sorted out mine with a stainless spacer and a decent nut,
the nut being so far out of the recess makes it very easy to tighten up.

The headlamps have never moved since  ;-)up

I did similar to Peter only with a couple of washers from alloy wheels each side as spacers, followed by a 1/2" spring washer and a plain nut. Not moved in 15 years.

That's cos you'rve got enough swivelling in those hips of yours, anyway how much did it cost you to get those girlies to pose ??? and the one on your right looks as thou if she went down just a little bit more, she may have knocked you out, or just fell out, now that would had been a good picture ( apologies I know they are someone's daughters, in case I may have upset anyone) ;-)up
