Hi,
My question is:
Would swapping my front shocks from standard to lowered bugpack a effect the 'hardness' on the suspension?

The reason I as is; I've got a LWB storm (from fibre craft). Which ,I've got to say, I'm not entirely happy with. The drivers wing is considerably lower than the passengers side (a difference of 3") - I have an adjustable lowered front beam but I didn't put Bugpack lowered dampers on the front because they were unavailable at the time so Im continuing to use the standard ones.

I don't really want to higher the beam and I don't particularly want to buy anothe rest of wheels which are thinner because the problem on comes when I turn a hard right, especially when the bend in on a decline.

Would swapping my front dampers reduce this from happening?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Lee

I assume you have trye to wing foul when the suspension dips. Stiffer shockes will only slow ithe travel down. 3 inch difference is a lot side to side best you measure axle beam to floor both sides to see if it is chassis/ suspension or body orientated.

If chassis is ok and it is body a slight realignment on the pan or trimming the lowest wing a bit will help.

Never touched a bugpack damper so cannot say about them.

Thank you for the reply.
The measurements are the same either side. There's not a lot I can take off the body if I was to trim it. It's a obvious visual difference between the wings - more of a mould issue which is quite frustrating.

If I can't level out the pan, I suppose the only way would be to buy a new set of tyres with a smaller wall, or new wheels!  :(

Is the body bolted down yet ? As snoopy said check the chassis for alignment  if that's ok eye the body from front to back the top of the bonnet to the top of the back seat. You can pack the body one side with a wedge shaped packer inbetween the chassis and the body . Three inches is a lot this is an exaggeration from the centre of the body and packing one side will hopefully lower the other side if you could post some photos so we can see the problem that would be great good luck.
make it if you can.

I took a twist out of my Manx body by packing under one side of the front body/fuel tank mounting brackets. Every body I've had in four decades of messing with the things has been either twisted, lob sided, they were designed by artists, not engineers.
