Well the buggy made it the 850 mile round to EBI without major troubles. I also managed to win my first drag race on the strip! (After hours!)

However it wouldn't be a challenge if there wasn't an issue so here it is.

After driving back from Surrey to Exeter I noticed that an excessive amount of oil had been "sucked/blown" from the chaff tower to the carbs. Enough to leave drips of oil from the pipe work to the pulley tinwear and a good mist everywhere else.

Anyone had this before/got any ideas? It didn't appear to have this problem prior to the final leg.

I would remove the pipe work to the air cleaners and just vent it unser the  buggy in a catch tank if needs be. A good feeling to get 850 mile round trip done it raises the confidence level.

Ahhh well we left Surrey on tuesday morning to go camp further down Belgium for a couple of days. I saw your buggy across the other camp (we were on the other side of the track to you). Also due to the rain and mud etc I only went cruising on the Sunday evening. Was a good weekend though!

The breather tower needs to vent and connected to the carbs you have positive pressure in the tower and the  carb will give a slight negative on the hoses when running so it it possible the oil mist to travel easier than just having a vent to atmosphere.
