This is a 1977 VW California long wheelbase Beach Buggy. (with the original window still intact)

I bought this a few years ago and I have taken it apart and rebuilt it over the past 12 months. Since finishing the rebuild and the MOT in May it has only been driven 150 miles.

Upgrades/ work done

New paintwork
Reconditioned twin port engine
New Twin Carbs
New wiring loom
Completely refurbished original wheels
New BF GOODRICH Radial T/A tyres all round.
New Front Disc Brakes
New seatbelts front and rear.
New front bucket seats
Amazing Gear Stick made from a 1 piece aluminium billet "Black Samba" £300 on its own.


The exhaust system on this buggy makes it sound mean and amazing.

Every time you drive it you smile all the time!

Yes we do really need for the for sale advert to be from members with a few more post counts. Its always good to know the seller and all that. But don't worry a few questions and banter back and further and that post count will soon go up!

The only reason there were no photos up with this is that I did it from my I pad and could work out how to do it, I was going to log on when I get home and put them up.

it is near impossible to price buggies as they are all very different, as you say you are asking what you want even if it is optimistic and the time of year does not help, most 10K buggies cost twice that but then a 4K one went for 9.5K just down to the buyer.  you have 7 watchers so may be some interest.

As Snoopy said and really the wrong time of the yrs TBH, also if we all put the price we put into our cars or bikes you have got to only look at the custom jobs at the shows to see how much they put in to see how really how much they loose, all down to the individual as everyone has different taste.

Its a nice car and they will probably go up in price but as time goes on there will be more bling going on them too for the higher price, unless you got an original Manx in the garage thats been there from yr dot. I have had one of these and im not going to say how much i got it for but i do remember one the same as yours going for around 6k and that was with flip tone paint and a full re build... so im just saying yes its probably worth 10k to you and an other person but you may be waiting a long time for that.
