It's time to introduce myself as I have been lurking about on here for nearly a couple of years. I have hankered after a buggy since I first saw one in the late 60's, but then life, wife, work and kids got in the way, until a couple of years ago that is. With the qualification for a bus pass comes the realization that time is getting short to complete the bucket list, so with auto-trader in hand, a pocket full of notes and a head full of clouds I was the proud owner of a SWB buggy possibly a GP Mk 1. Based on allegedly a 1955 floor pan  with a 1969 engine, first built in 1972, ran until the mid 70's, stored until 2007 then rebuilt again, stored again and in 2013 MINE. After yet another rebuild I and it are now on the road again.

Glad you made the leap in to buggy life buddy. Get some pics up when you can.
I'm in my buggy,
It's raining,
I really don't care.

You'll not regret any of your decisions - keep your head a little in the clouds and keep an eye on the fun had on this site. Check out the members map for who is near you and every time it's sun shine consider getting out and about in the buggy.

Many thanks for the warm reception, if ever I can get my son to come over and stay for more that five minutes and explain how I can post pictures on here in language that I can understand I will do so. By the way I can't stop grinning.
