Just about to be getting some new shocks and springs  and not having weighed my buggy just wondering what people reckon a swb buggy weighs ish?

Pop along to your nearest scrap metal/ recycle yard. I'm sure they would let you on there weigh bridge. A pack of biscuits will no doubt sway them to help you out.

Get a cheap set of bathroom scales. Weigh each corner of your buggy. This will give you the proportional weight distribution front and rear which the manufacturer of the shocks will need. That is what I was asked at the kitcar show last week any way.

Mine weighs 560kg but I recon around 80% of that's on the rear wheels.

Last MOT my one weighed in at 524kg...that was with the old engine and obviously not with me in it 

Thanks all for info and suggestions. Think that gives me enough to get a headline spec off to the shock builders. Will see if they come back with the need for detailed front rear bias as didn't want to risk breaking the glass bathroom scales and couldn't get to Argos today!

Take it to a weighbridge, think they charge about £20 ish but 550kgs prob around figure 

if you've got a quarry nearby, just drive in, stop on the weigh bit, read what it says, drive off, if anyone stops you just say your lost!
