Hi Ben
On the old forum you had pics up of your Led halo light pods. Where did you get the pods & lights from mate?

Steve, you mean these ones?

Right. The pods came from these guys....

Proper stainless lights, not poor chrome efforts...

The units are standard 7" mini units. I won them off ebay for £25. Trying to find out where they came from....

There are loads of those 7" lens`s on ebay, being sold by various mini specialists - I had a set similar to those shown, and it didn`t come without a few issues.

Firstly, they are generally from the states, and are motorcyle ones, not car - this does mean that the beam pattern is flat and does not have that kick up to one side. MOT guy may question it, but if friendly, may let it go - however, they are an absolute sode to drive on when going down very dark unlit coutry lanes.

Secondly, the lens on many of them is made from a very tough plastic, not glass - and if you put brighter bulbs inside, they tnd to discolour and fog up very very quickly, and once they do, its very difficult to get inside to clean them.

I went for a different approach - I bought some felxible LED strips, cut a set of lucas headlights open  and glued them in place, then resealed the lens afterwards. Not as difficult as it sounds, but you do end up with a traditional headlight with LED halo

I found these ones on ebay in the US at least they are glass ones not plastic

Not sure if they're any good or will fit going to have a measure of mine at the weekend as i love the look of them so who knows, Dave's right though they are for motorcycles so may not be the best light but then again no worse than driving down dark unlit country lanes on a bike... at least you'll have two of them and not one!  ;-)up ;D

Yes there are some about but it's crazy seems to be cheaper to buy from US even with delivery, the ones on CBS look like they don't have the usual buggy round fixing on them :-\
These ones seem to have a good LED ring on them just hope they're as good when i get them and that they fit! ::) :)
