Hi - am a newbie, and an OAP (almost!!!) at that - grew up in N Devon and always wanted a beach bug - well, I am now in the process of realising my dream.  Does anyone know of, or can recommend, a soft top maker in or around the OX postcodes?  Clearly will travel as far as I have to, but would prefer local - any and all advise gratefully received!

Cant help you directly as such but welcome to the site too!!!

However, its worth checking out local boat builders - or at least those that do covers for the boats - like tonneau covers. they are always a good bet.

Meanwhile I know Poacher got his done at Hemel Hempstead and did a good job so might be worth checking out. ?

KeV,

Welcome along bud. Pics of your buggy always help! Say hello in the new members section at the top of the forum list.

Ok, in terms of roof makers, I'm not familiar with any in the Oxford area. However, if you are prepared to travel, consider John who owns and runs CCTrim.

He has done roofs for Dan (Child of the 70's) and Allan (Allan) and they are fantastic. Mine is booked in for the first week in May, which will make three buggies from here which he has done....
