pulled over by police

After getting pulled over in january for front reg plate which got sorted the following day I've now been sent a court date 3 months after WTF !  :-\  the officer dated his witness statement 24 march. He must have a good memory  ;D

I've never been stopped \ questioned in the Volksrod.police van even pulled up behind me at petrol station and nothing was said. I was expecting something to be said though

I can plead guilty by post but someone said check the vehicle defect ticket given to me at the time see if it said I had to go to police show them it was done if thats the case it looks to them that I've just ignored it

I'm almost certain you do, or at least have to send it off. Think you have to rectify it, go to an MOT testing station and have them sign it off. Not sure then if you have to take it to the plod station or post it somewhere...

You've normally got to get defects checked off at an mot station, it should say on the ticket...

well the bobby that pulled me over was one of the riders on the police escort we had on a charity run, he couldnt believe i hadn't had it signed off as he knew i'd get it sorted. So he told me to write to the central ticket office with his name and that he has seen defect and ok'd it and low and behold the summons is cancelled, thank you to the friendly bobby result  ;-)up
