I think they got the chassis cut wrong and shortend it to the length that should have been cut out ;)
good to find most of the shells still around after 40 years

Who came up with the production number(s) anyway, and anyone quoting James Hale will get a slap!!! ::)

I would only quote approx numbers from P Philby's 1979 book as it was recent history then and you could still talk to people involved. James does great books but some models from the original UK boom are nearing 50 and most went out of production nearly 40 years ago.

Ben this has ended up being a bit of a saga ::)

I called in to view whilst away for the weekend with no intention of buying just to report back for forum members. When home I decided to go for them myself as long as I could get some long term storage.
Found some so sent off a deposit cheque with the agreement to collect before the end of March as the seller is moving house then and has no room for them.

Just earlier this week I was told my planned storage facility is no longer available >:( so  unfortunately could not complete the purchase, so pretty gutted really. :o

However the metalflake red buggy for sale recently that I think was GoodLooking Adams old one is now at mine awaiting putting back together.  ;-)up

Every cloud & all that  ;)
