Best introduce myself as it's only polite! I've joined because a very old friend of mine has started a build thread of his wife's thread (speedy).
My present buggy is a lwb mk2 GP which I have probably owned for the last ten years-odd how other vehicles always take precedence over the buggy build?
Anyway, I have rented a unit with a few of my mates this last year and it is closer than ever, the intention is to have it finished for the summer but have just noticed the kit car show at stoneleigh in May so I think I'll push for that!
This WILL be the first buggy I finish, the first one buggypete had off me and the second one was a tube framed mk1 GP that I sold on vzi.
I'll get the few pics I have off the buggy up ona bit of a build thread when I get 5.

Cheers chap, my wife is full of advice-stop buying more cars and finish what you have, present count is 8. Not entirely sure how that happened but the fleet is getting thinned out. Hopefully my mk2 GTI will be gone on Saturday then start clearing out the vans. Have to finish my lads beetle before I am back on the buggy,it was a promise.
If you can offer a kick up the arse that would probably be more productive!

My word, isn't it weird how different forums can be! The welcome isn't quite the same on the yard where I spend most of my time!
Phil Bowen-there's a blast from the past, mr VWk as I used to know him. He had the fad t and a five window Willys coupe last time I was in there - prolly 20 plus years ago? Lovely bloke and lives on the opposite estate to where we are, I had heard he was dabbling again building a few engines but not 100% on that?
I think I have a few pics somewhere of the tube framed buggy but definitely don't have any of the volksrod that went to buggy Pete. Will try and get the pictures of the GP on this weekend but will probably have to enlist the help of no1 child.
Thank you all for welcoming me in.
